What the fuck? Are we even surprised anymore?
He goes by D3licious Destruction on Facebook and regularly showcases local food vendors and restaurants. Quite a fun energy he brings! I thought you guys might want to know about his content. I'm glad we've got a modest array of food offerings to review! Here's one video he recently made at the Friday Night Market!
What's new, Socal
He'sssssss back! 😨
Resuscitated!
Did you know there's a map showing where Flock license plate reader cameras are installed in Humboldt County? I found this video from Youtuber/content creator Matty McTech where he talks about a website you can use to figure out where they are currently located in general! I thought you guys might want to know about it!
How exciting lol
Who's ready for it!? I've heard we may get half an inch of rain or more. It's been a while since we got a decent storm rolling through. 🙂
This was a public video uploaded to Jose Monkey's Facebook page! For context, he is a content creator/YouTuber who figures out where people are located who ask to be found. Meaning, they'll voluntarily make a video of themselves showing the land around them and he tries to narrow down where exactly in the world they are. We made it onto his radar, and so I thought it'd be cool to share here!
Yikes...
"Humboldt County officials confirmed that Miranda’s Rescue has been operating out of compliance with its required permits for 23 years, a lapse the Building and Planning Department did not discover until this reporter asked about it last week. The county issued a formal violation notice one day after the inquiry.
Planning and Building Director John Ford said the department reviewed the file only after receiving questions from the Times-Standard on May 21 about a lapsed conditional use permit for the Miranda’s Rescue property that expired on Sept. 17, 2004. The next morning, on May 22, the county sent rescue owner Shannon Miranda a certified letter warning that he has until June 5 to sign the new conditional use permit, and if he does not, there could be ramifications about whether he could continue to operate."
There's totally not fraud occurring elsewhere in their government. Totallyyyyy not.
Well, damn lol.
Looks good! And the owner has got a backstory.
From Sushi Spot: "Sushi Spot 14 year employee and manager Jaime Osorio will be taking over the operation of Sushi Spot McKinleyville in May with a new restaurant, ‘Umami Sushi and Japanese Kitchen’
Chef Osorio was raised coming to Sushi Spot with his mother Rocio and family from a young age and frequented Sushi Spot often, enjoying time and sharing memories while enjoying their favorites like the Kani crunch roll.
Jamie joined the Sushi Spot team in 2011 washing dishes while still in high school and worked his way through the positions in the restaurant, eventually becoming a manager in 2015.
Sushi Spot became a second family while he worked his way through school graduating from McKinleyville High and completing his degree at Humboldt State University.
Chef Osorio moved to Portland after college for a brief time while expanding his knowledge at Bamboo Sushi and also helping open Blue Fin Sushi in Portland.
He returned to Sushi Spot in 2021 to manage the McKinleyville restaurant and Sushi Spot is pleased to announce the change of business as we pass the torch to chef Osorio."
We know it's a thing. Now the ball is in their court.
Finally!
