10 years and 100,000 miles later and she still puts a smile on my face.. almost to 200k and still going strong :')
Only major repairs since getting it at 90k were the driveshaft, radiator and oil pan gasket and diff bushing
I had kind of a weird interaction at TJ Maxx today and I’m curious if any employees know what she was doing.
I was buying a Polo shirt that was originally $35 and marked down on clearance to $28. When I got to the register, the cashier didn’t greet me or say anything. Before ringing it up, she looked at the tag pretty extensively.. first time this has ever happened lol
Then she grabbed one of the TJ Maxx handheld phones/devices and scanned the barcode on the tag. At this point I asked, “Is something wrong?” because I genuinely had no idea what was happening. She didn’t answer me and just kept looking through whatever was on the device.
Then she walked over to another employee, asked her something in Spanish, came back, and rang up the shirt for the clearance price. I asked again what was going on and she still didn't say a word to me.
First time I wasn't asked about signing up for the tjmaxx credit card which was nice considering she didn't say a word to me the entire transaction
So I’m mostly curious what she was checking on the handheld. Did she think the clearance tag had been swapped or didn’t belong to the shirt? If so, what would she have been looking at on the device to verify it?
The price difference was only $7, so I was mostly just confused why it seemed to require that much investigation without her saying anything to me.
