The Timewind duo

I heard that Klaus Schulze and Michael Hoenig were meant to be a duo called Timewind, having had signed to Virgin Records. Timewind stopped existing soon after, but did they play any concerts and are there any recordings of them, if there were any?

Need help with straightening curly hair

So, I have natural curly hair, it curls up by itself... I would like to somehow straighten it but I don't really know how. Whenever I wash it and then comb it, I can make it somewhat even, but the lower part starts curling up - which is not that big of a problem until it starts making quite a difference, making it look as if I was wearing some kind of small hat atop my head, with how the top becomes really straight and basically glued to my head and the rest flows downwards. Another problem is that I get those sort of splinter hair part things, just... I don't know how to describe it, just that individual small parts of the hair sort of detach themselves from the main flows and make everything look uneven, I'm sure you know what I mean. I'd just somehow like to keep it from curling up at all, which it does just by drying. I do have some other issues with it, but that's just because I don't really know how to comb it well enough to get what I want out of it, I'll probably go through that with a professional, but for now, I'd just like to know whether it's even possible or worth trying... I'd also like to mention that I'm male, have really long hair (or better said a lot of hair) and would like to keep it as such.

Here is my normal "routine".

- I wake up and look like that painting of Medusa by Caravaggio

- I comb my hair in all directions. It basically looks like a cauliflower. I am not satisfied with this anymore.

Here is how I tried straightening it up.

- I wash my hair and comb until even

- Then let it dry and use a straightener after some time, here it becomes sort of wavy, I wish I could keep it like it is in this state

- I wait and it gradually gets worse. By the next morning, the top of my head just feels like dust and the rest is curled up in a very horrible way.

Is there something I'm missing? Should I use some kind of product for this? Should I just find someone else to discuss this with? I'd be really grateful for any replies and especially for reasonable ones.
