A possible idea

I know a lot of us have been disappointed over the years, and I’m not pretending that writing letters guarantees anything. It doesn’t.
But I also don’t think giving up is the only option.
There have been fan campaigns in the past that helped demonstrate audience interest. While every situation is different, shows like Jericho famously received another season after a coordinated fan campaign, and the passionate fan support for Firefly played a role in keeping the franchise alive long enough to receive Serenity. Those successes weren’t due to one thing alone, but they showed that respectful, organized fan support can matter.
So I was wondering:
What if the Infinity Train fandom organized a polite letter-writing campaign?
Not a harassment campaign.
Not spamming executives.
Not demanding anything.
Just fans writing thoughtful letters expressing:
why Infinity Train meant so much to them,
why they believe there’s still an audience,
appreciation for Owen Dennis and everyone who worked on the show,
and hope that Warner Bros. would someday consider letting the story continue, whether through another season, a movie, comics, or another format.
Even if nothing came of it immediately, it would send a message that people still care years later.
Maybe it wouldn’t change anything.
Maybe it would simply remind decision-makers that the fanbase is still here.
At worst, we’d have respectfully shown our appreciation for a series we love.
At best… you never know.
I’d rather be remembered as a fandom that celebrated the show and advocated for it respectfully than one that assumed there was no hope and did nothing.
Would anyone else be interested if something like this were organized?

Why we may be thinking of what the president of CN said all wrong

I know a lot of people are understandably skeptical after the last few years. Creators like Maxwell Atoms, Tom Warburton and others have talked about pitches not moving forward, and many of us are still disappointed by cancellations and the lack of originals.
That said, I also think it’s worth looking at what Michael Ouweleen actually said instead of assuming nothing has changed.
Over the last few days he’s talked about:
wanting to “manifest the conditions to start new things again”
being open to revisiting legacy franchises if creators who worked on them have pitches
believing weekly releases build stronger fandoms than binge drops
encouraging new creators to keep making original work
To me, this doesn’t sound like someone saying, “We’re only doing reboots forever.” It sounds like someone trying to rebuild a healthier animation pipeline after a difficult few years.
Something else I noticed is that it doesn’t feel like originals and legacy IPs are competing anymore—it feels more like they’re coexisting.
We’ve seen announcements for things like:
Adventure Time: Side Quests
Bubblegum & Marceline
Regular Show: Lost Tapes
But we’ve also seen:
SuperMutant Magic Academy
new theatrical animation like Prehistoria
multiple new DC animated projects
comments about eventually creating conditions for more new ideas
That doesn’t strike me as “the end of originality.” It feels more like Warner is trying to stabilize things by supporting both established franchises and newer projects.
As for the concerns about Maxwell Atoms, Tom Warburton, and other creators, I completely understand why people are cautious. Those pitches didn’t move forward before, and nobody should pretend that didn’t happen.
But leadership, budgets, and company strategies change over time.
If the current president is publicly saying he wants pitches from creators who worked on these properties, I’d rather view that as an encouraging sign than assume it’s meaningless before we even see what happens.
None of this guarantees that Billy & Mandy, Kids Next Door, or anything else gets revived.
But compared to where things were a couple years ago, this feels like the first time in a while that I’m hearing leadership acknowledge many of the same things fans have been asking for:
creator involvement
stronger fandoms
room for new ideas
respect for legacy series
Maybe I’m being optimistic, but after years of hearing mostly bad news, I’d rather judge them by what they do over the next couple of years than assume they’re destined to repeat every mistake forever.
What do you all think?

My issue with the finale

It didn’t feel like a grand finale. It felt like every other episode where there’s no finality to everything and you gotta wait till next ep which isn’t going to happen because it’s over. There’s still a load of things they didn’t tie up and not even karai or Casey got to be in the finale. I honestly feel disappointed and wish there was more to it.
