So I was thinking, the homeless guy they pinned the murders on OBVIOUSLY was a copycat to anyone on the outside paying close attention. Also, he didn’t even come close to matching the BAU’s profile of the potential killer.

Wouldn’t the feds do some heavy re-examination of their profile and the case to see where they went wrong and potentially pick up their own investigation?

I understand politically anyone on a city or state level would not be able to reopen the case but I could 100% see a federal probe into it. Thoughts?
