Why does Aglaea suddenly need SPD with Robin SP?

I'm seeing a lot of questions with regards to speed w/ regards to Aglaea and S. Robin, so I wanted to start a different thread to talk about it, as well as go over speed thresholds you might want to get to w/ Aglaea.

Reasons why Aglaea SPD requirements changed

  1. Buff duration - RMC and Sunday's buffs were based on Aglaea's turns, so if Aglaea took too many turns in between the action advancer, her buffs fell off. Robin's buffs are on 100% of the time.
  2. Not 100% action advance - This is a big one. Because Sunday's advance is on his turn, any speed setting for Aglaea that was not more than twice his speed led to the same number of turns. If Sunday had 150 SPD, any Aglaea spd from base speed all the way to 300 spd still only resulted in 2 Aglaea turns between each Sunday turn, so no point.
    • In contrast, because Robin's AA is on her ult, we control when Aglaea advances, so we can guarantee a 100% action advance every time with no wasted AV.
  3. Vibe stacking - finally, a large portion of Robin's buffs and energy generation rely on vibe stacks. The more vibe stacks she has, the stronger her buffs. Vibes are generated by allies taking actions, so the more actions taken, the more vibes you get.

Speed Thresholds

Unfortunately, because of how base speed works, now that we're building for more speed Aglaea's S1 becomes significantly more important. Some speed thresholds are just impossible without it.

  1. Aglaea
    • If Aglaea is E0S0 - stay at base speed. You would sacrifice too many crit substats to get to the next speed threshold, especially since we no longer get the free 20% CR from Sunday.
    • If Aglaea has S1 and is less than E4 - 266.7 speed fully buffed. That's not as scary as it looks.
      • This is 148.14 SPD out of combat as long as someone has the Amphoreus planar, and Aglaea is in the hero set.
      • On average, this is SPD boots + ~4 speed substats.
    • If Aglaea is E4S1 and/or if you have multiple other sources of speed (Robin S1, Huohuo E1, oldRobin E2, Hyacine E2, etc) - 300 speed fully buffed
      • At E4S1 + Robin S1, you only need speed boots and 1-2 speed subs to hit this.
      • 141.6 SPD out of combat in this setup.
    • If Aglaea is E6S1 and you have other sources of SPD. 320 speed fully buffed
  2. Robin - Since Robin doesn't need to build anything except speed and hp, we can be harder on the speed thresholds.
    1. No S1
      • 148.2 SPD - 4 bird attacks in cycle 0 of MoC Wave 2
      • 154.2 SPD - 7 bird attacks in AA cycle 0
      • 160 SPD - 3 bird attacks in cycle 0 of MoC Wave 1, 4 attacks in cycle 0 of Wave 2
      • 185.3 SPD - 5 bird attacks in cycle 0 of MoC Wave 2
    2. With S1
      • 184.1 SPD - 9 bird actions in AA cycle 0
      • 185.3 SPD - 5 bird attacks in cycle 0 of MoC Wave 2

Final Thoughts and Opinions on Summer Robin

TLDR

  • Summer Robin is BiS for any and all investment levels of Aglaea.
  • What do I mean by BiS? Basically, if you show me any current Aglaea team, I can point to at least one member who could be replaced by a same cost S. Robin, or cheaper, and do much better.
    • I am specifically maintaining cost parity in case someone asks if E0S0 S.Robin is better than their AEON E6S5 Cyrene.
  • E0S0 S. Robin is around 20-30% stronger than E1S1 Sunday with my testing.

PROS

  • Fairly cheap upgrade out the gate. E0S0 will already get you great results.
  • Amazing vertical investment all the way thru E6
  • Better energy generation than Sunday
  • Strong general teamwide buffs.
  • Basically RMC Promax
  • Unlocks additional teams
  • Only cares about speed and HP%

CONS

  • Ramps Aglaea's speed stacks much slower than Sunday in non-Cyrene teams.
  • Fewer action advances than Sunday.
  • E1 does not play well with True Damage, specifically Cyrene.
  • Requires Aglaea to build some speed again.
  • S.Robin's energy econ is heavily nerfed in sustainless teams.
  • Only cares about speed and HP%

GEAR

  • 4pc Deliverer + 2pc Amphoreus planar would be default for Aglaea's teams.
  • 2pc2pc SPD also works if you need to hit a specific speed threshold.
  • Speed Breakpoints:
    • Aglaea
      • 266.7 SPD fully buffed - 4 EBAs in 2nd wave of MoC
      • 300 SPD fully buffed - 3 EBAs between Aglaea ults.
    • SP Robin
      • with S1: 185.3 for 5 bird attacks in 2nd MoC Wave and 9 bird attacks in first cycle of AA
      • without S1: 185.3 for 5 bird attacks in 2nd MoC wave. 148.2 for 4 bird attacks in 2nd MoC wave. 154.2 for 7 bird attacks in first AA cycle.
  • FTP LC Options: Herta shop LC (for speed bonus) or Story's Next Page (for Atk bonus). I don't believe Victory in a Blink works because it requires memosprites using their skill on an ally.

TEAMS

  • In my testing there are 2 teams that rose to the top
    • Aglaea - S. Robin - Cyrene - DHPT/Hyacine
    • Aglaea - S. Robin - Mortenax Blade - Hyacine
  • With Robin E0
    • The Cyrene team is better than the Blade team the longer the fight goes. If you 0-cycle, Mortenax is better, if you 3+ cycle, Cyrene team is better by a large margin.
    • At E2 Cyrene vs E2 Mortenax, Cyrene is better.
  • With Robin at E1+
    • Robin E1 disproportionally helps out Mortenax Blade teams because her E1 does not record the extra true damage that Cyrene's zone generates.
    • With Aglaea at E1 and everyone else at E0, Mortenax' team is better.
    • With Robin at E1 and everyone else at E2, both teams are roughly on par.
    • With everyone at E2 the Blade team pulls slightly ahead.
    • Further investment just widens the gap.
  • That said, if you already have a well-invested Cyrene, I would not pull an extra 6 cost or whatever to get Mortenax and Hyacine, the difference between the two teams is not THAT worth it. If you had that 6 cost to spare, just level your Robin to E6 instead.
  • Also, in the Mortenax Blade team, you'll want to build more speed on Aglaea, as losing ult state really sets her back a LOT. I would try to hit 300 SPD for Aglaea in a well-invested MortB team.
  • Other teams are fine and work alright, but are a tier below the teams above. All the teams below perform within a few % points of each other.
    • Aglaea - S.Robin - E1 Gilgamesh - HuoHuo
    • Aglaea - S.Robin - E1/E2 OldRobin - HuoHuo
      • Bonus note. The song that plays is whichever plays last
    • Aglaea - S.Robin - E1 Tribbie - sustain

INVESTMENT

  • E1 is crazy good. Tribbie E1 good. Yes, even in a Cyrene team.
  • E2 is also really good. The res-pen is nice, but because of joint attacks and Garmentmaker, Aglaea stacks vibes faster than probably any other unit in the game with E2, which means maximum buffs a larger proportion of the time.
  • S1 is great, but the eidolons are more important
  • Mortenax Team investment path:
    • Aglaea E1 -> Aglaea S1 -> Robin E1 -> Robin E2 -> Aglaea E2 -> MortB E1 -> MortB E2 -> Robin S1 -> Hya S1 -> Hya E1 -> Hya E2 -> Robin E6 -> Aglaea E6 -> Hyacine E6 -> MortB E6
  • Cyrene Team investment path:
    • Aglaea E1 -> Aglaea S1 -> Cyrene E2 -> Robin E1 -> Robin E2 -> Aglaea E2 -> Cyrene S1 -> Robin S1 -> Hya/DHPT S1 -> Hya/DHPT E1 -> Hya/DHPT E2 -> Robin E6 -> Aglaea E6 -> Cyrene E6 -> Hya/DHPT E6
  • Expected Performance from my testing:
    • At full E0S0, expect to do 4ish cycles in a favorable starward MoC stage
    • At Aglaea E1S1, Robin E1, Mort/Cyrene at E2, you should be able to start trying to 0-cycle favorable MoC stages
    • At full E2S1, you should be able to 0-1 cycle King in check.
    • At E6S1 Aggy, E6S1 Robin, E2 MortB, E2 Hya you should be able to clear Plight.

YAP

Our savior is nigh! As I mentioned above, S. Robin is pretty much our new best in slot action advancer, with fewer advances, but more energy and a ton more buffs.

I'm a little irritated that Robin doesn't play well with Cyrene's buffs, and I wish that Robin's E1 damage wasn't true damage and was some other type of damage that could play well with true damage. I'm also more irritated that the Mortenax Blade team is basically the AshBlade team except you replaced Ashveil with an arguably worse unit, but we're in Aglaeamains so nyeeeeah.

Regardless, I'm pulling for at least E0S0 this patch to replace my E1S1 Sunday, with the expectation of pulling to at least E2S1 since I'm not pulling for any other teams for the rest of this patch cycle.

Also, there's still the cope of a Sunday novaflare, so if you're still hoping for Chicken Wing boy to rise up like a phoenix, maybe wait until the last day of Robin's banner. We've been regularly getting new free units every even patch, so I would not be surprised if we get a novaflare + selector announcement at some point. Yes, we didn't get a novaflare announcement after Pearl's drip marketing, but they have delayed novaflare announcements before.

4 cost Aglaea team w/ Summer Robin vs 4.4 MoC Flame Reaver

I wanted to do a showcase with as low an investment Aglaea team as I could really see being run.

Four cycles on Flame Reaver with:

  • Aglaea E0S5 (3* Reminisce)
  • Cyrene E0S5 (4* Herta shop LC)
  • Robin E0S5 (4* Story's Next Page)
  • DHPT E0S1 (standard non-Preservation LC w/ high attack)

Gear wasn't great either. Aglaea is too slow, and Robin is wearing 2pc SPD 2pc HP to hit the 160 speed breakpoint, so a better equipped team could probably knock it down to 3 cycles.

Still, got full jade rewards, and team at least held it's own in Starward mode, so not bad.

Granny still has it! 1-cycle 4.5 Plight Mode clear!

Aglaea E6S1

Robin E6S1

Mortenax Blade E2S1

Hyacine E2S1

I've found that at higher investment Mortenax Blade becomes stronger than Cyrene, mostly because Cyrene's 48% True Damage buff does not get recorded in Robin's E1.

Also note, while the (relatively) small damage numbers might make it seem like Aglaea is getting carried, the actual damage contribution is around 35% Aggy, 35% Robin, 20% Mortenax Blade, 10% Hyacine.

0-cycle should be doable with further investment in either Blade or Hyacine, or just by playing better + better relics, as I did make errors in play in the Vid.

Robin Summereto Team Comp Analysis

As I mentioned in my last post about Robin Summeretto, I wanted to do a few test drives on various teams to see what would be Aglaea's best teams with a sustain. Before I go over the results, here are my parameters:

Methodology

  • Target: 4.3 Anomaly Arbitration Knight 2: King Pom Pom with Stability affix (20% reduced damage)
    • This was probably the decision I took the longest to make as I wanted a boss/mob that could take a beating AND did not shill anybody in the comps I was testing particularly hard.
    • King Pom-Pom is notorious for shilling elation and break, and the stability+ debuff made him even tankier.
    • I knew we had a winner when I looked in The Genius Archive and, after filtering out the elation girlies and RMC, the lowest cost 0-cycle that wasn't break was 9 cost and had Welt E4.
  • Duration: 1 attempt each unless I made a drastic misplay. Fight the boss until a kill or until I hit 500 AV, whichever came first.
    • I did not want to factor in the increased damage buff once you went down to cycle 3 or lower.
    • I did want to take it to 500 AV to smooth out variance as much as possible and to reduce the impact of one time resources (ex. the free ult refresh from Cyrene on first ult) as they are disproportionally powerful in 0-cycles.
    • As much as possible I tried not to tailor my rotation to the fight (ex. pooling ults and advances to the start of wave 2 to maximize PomPom damage before he gets his DR), but CDs still line up where they will.
  • Teams: They'll be listed below, but I specifically clustered the teams into two types, ones which are primarily E0S1 (except for Aglaea E1), and teams which are primarily E2S1 except for sustains
    • This does mean that DHPT got shafted compared to Hyacine as his power spike comes when he gets his own E2, so take that into consideration.
    • Builds are posted above, most of them are using the relics that are already on my account. For Gil and S. Robin, I basically copied some of my relics and changed their set as I didn't have any built pieces in those sets.
    • Teams are ranked on DPAV improvement over baseline team.
      • Baseline is: Aglaea E1S1 - Sunday E0S1 - DHPT - E0S1 - Cyrene E0S1
      • Results will also note if the team managed to kill PomPom, or if we went to 500 AV.

Results

E0S1 Cohort

  1. AglaeaE1S1-Tribbie E1S5(DDD)-S.Robin E0S1-Hyacine E0S1: 41.6% improvement.
  2. AglaeaE1S1-CyreneE0S1-S.RobinE0S1-HyacineE0S1: 34.1% improvement
  3. AglaeaE1S1-MortenaxE0S1-S.RobinE0S1-HyacineE0S1: 29.5% improvement
  4. AglaeaE1S1-RobinE2S1-S.RobinE0S1-DHPTE0S1: 22.7% improvement
  5. AglaeaE1S1-GilgameshE0S1-HuoHuoE0S1-S.RobinE0S1: 10.5% improvement
  6. AglaeaE1S1-GilgameshE0S1-HyacineE0S1-CyreneE0S1: 3.8% improvement

E2S1 Cohort

  1. AglaeaE2S1-CyreneE2S1-S.RobinE2S1-HyacineE0S1: 152.5% improvement. Kill by cycle 1
  2. AglaeaE2S1-MortenaxE2S1-S.RobinE2S1-HyacineE0S1: 150% improvement. Kill by cycle 1
  3. AglaeaE2S1-MortenaxE2S1-CyreneE2S1-HyacineE0S1: 127.4% improvement. Kill by cycle 2
  4. AglaeaE2S1-CyreneE2S1-S.RobinE2S1-DHPTE0S1: 119.1% improvement. Kill by cycle 2
  5. AglaeaE2S1-GilgameshE1S1-S.RobinE2S1-HuoHuoE1S1: 89% improvement. Kill by cycle 2
  6. AglaeaE2S1-GilgameshE1S1-CyreneE2S1-HuoHuoE1S1: 82.4% improvement.
  7. AglaeaE2S1-SundayE1S1-CyreneE2S1-DHPTE0S1: 53.5% improvement.

Conclusion

One, I can't believe I did all this work just 1-2 days before S.Robin V3.

Other than that, my recommended teams are:

  • Aglaea + S.Robin + Cyrene + Sustain (DHPT/Hyacine)
  • Aglaea + S.Robin + Mortenax + Hyacine

The Tribbie E1 result in the lower cost cohort surprised me a bit, it might have been CDs just lining up at the right times, but in any case the performance isn't that much better than the above teams, and there's really no further investment in Tribbie that helps.

Hyacine vs DHPT: Summereto Edition

From my own testing, I think the current ideal team for Aglaea right now is S.Robin, Cyrene, and a sustain.

The issue is, which sustain? My immediate answer was DHPT, but enough folks mentioned Hyacine as someone as good or better than DHPT that I wanted to test that across different investments and scenarios.

Setup

  • Starting team is Aglaea E1S1, Cyrene E0S1, S. Robin E0S1, sustain (either DHPT or Hyacine) E0S1
  • I tested in two scenarios, an upcoming MoC and an upcoming PF.
    • The MoC scenario had the Dreamjolt Dino and the Frigid Prowler wave 1, then SAM wave 2. So 2 targets wave 1, 1 target wave 2
    • PF is PF, so five targets the entire fight.
  • I also did the MoC with two baseline teams
    • Aglaea E1S1 - Sunday E1S1 - DHPT E0S1 - Cyrene E0S1
      • Damage per AV (DPAV): 37,528.5
      • Total AV: 274.64
      • Cycles: 3
    • Aglaea E2S1 - Sunday E1S1 - DHPT E2S1 - Cyrene E2S1
      • DPAV: 65,900.0
      • Total AV: 174.9
      • Cycles: 1
  • Starting with the base team, I then added eidolon investment according to what I think most people would consider most valuable to least valuable.
    • Cyrene E0 to E2 -> S. Robin E0 to E2 -> Aglaea E1 to E2 -> sustain E0 to E2

Findings

  • MoC
    • At base investment thru Robin E2, both Hyacine and DHPT performed similarly. That said, the MoC was 1/3rd two targets and 2/3rd one target, which penalizes AoE and rewards single target and bounce.
    • Cyrene E2 was a larger benefit for the DHPT team, but then S. Robin E2 was a larger benefit for Hyacine's team.
    • Once you had both Cyrene E2 and Robin E2, both teams already easily 0-cycle.
    • Interestingly, when we add Aglaea's E1 to E2, the Hyacine team pulls ahead and does 22% more DPAV than the DHPT team. This is because the Hyacine team stacks Robin's vibes faster, so Aglaea spends more time at 100% defense shred.
    • For DHPT E2 vs Hyacine E2, the gap shrunk, but it's still 18% in favor of Hyacine's team.
    • For the DHPT team, the lion's share of the damage was consistently from Aglaea, with the only hiccup being when we hit Robin E2, at which point Robin was consistently around 15% of the total damage, with most of the rest (80%+) being Aglaea.
    • For the Hyacine team, as we got more and more investment, the share of the damage coming from Cyrene kept increasing.
    • Finally, compared to the two Sunday setups I posted as baseline.
      • Both the baseline DHPT and Hyacine teams beat the low investment Sunday team.
      • Both sustains then handily beat the well-invested 15 cost team at Robin E2, which would be 13 cost.
  • Pure Fiction
    • The DHPT team destroys the Hyacine team at all levels of investment.
    • Getting DHPT dragons from Cyrene's ultimates massively helped with AoE.
    • The difference in DPAV in each level of investment ranged from 18% to 40%, all in favor of the DHPT team.

Conclusion

Either works. I still personally lean DHPT, but both are honestly quite good. I assume most folks, if they've been playing Aglaea all this while, will have a good DHPT, so you can continue to use that, but if not, Hyacine is at least on par if not better in most scenarios except pure fiction.

If you think about it, Hyacine being on par now makes sense. We are basically replacing a pure hyper-carry action advancer with an action advancer that buffs the entire team, so of course Cyrene actually has a chance to put some numbers in with the right sustain.

Preliminary Tests w/ Gilgamesh and S. Robin

So I finally took the plunge and started futzing around with a ps so I can do some testing on Gil and S. Robin v2.

First I nerfed my Aglaea down to E2, then tested the following teams against current King in Check (Graphia). For relics I basically just used whatever I had on the live server, which is kind of why Gil's relics are a little terribad.

For S. Robin I purposefully built her fast so that her little birdies hit 360 speed, which is 2.5 actions per vibes checkpoint. I unfortunately did not have any Deliverer pieces that were good enough either. After testing, I think I built her too fast, the correct speed is probably 160 SPD so the birdies can take 2 actions per checkpoint.

Anyway, teams I tested (all against Graphia):

  1. Aglaea E2S1-DHPT E2S1-Cyrene E2S1-Sunday E1S1 - baseline
  2. Aglaea - S.Robin E1S1 - DHPT - Cyrene
  3. Aglaea - S.Robin E2S1 - DHPT - Cyrene
  4. Aglaea - Gil E1S1 - Cyrene - DHPT
  5. Aglaea - Gil - Cyrene - Huohuo E1S1
  6. Aglaea - Gil - S.Robin E1S1 - DHPT
  7. Aglaea - Gil - S.Robin E2S1 - DHPT
  8. Aglaea - S.Robin E1S1 - Cyrene - Huohuo
  9. Aglaea - S.Robin E2S1 - Cyrene - Huohuo

Some thoughts:

  • First, the baseline performance was 2 cycles with my original team. The same team 0-cycles with E6 Aglaea.
  • Every team I listed did better than the baseline (RIP Sunday).
  • In a team with Cyrene, you want to use DHPT still so you can dump Cyrene ultimates into dragons.
  • The strongest team out of all of them was: Aglaea - S.Robin - Cyrene - DHPT
    • Replacing Sunday E1 with S.Robin E1 was a 1 cycle difference.
  • Gil was less of an upgrade, but that's partly because his gear was bad, and partly because it's a bad matchup for bounce. His ult is really strong (it reached 4M a couple of times), but it gets wasted on clowns.
    • Best Gil team was Aglaea - Gil - Robin - Huo
  • S. Robin's E2 is quite strong. All runs where I replaced her E1 with E2 also lost 1 cycle.
    • Aglaea E2S1 - S.Robin E2S1 - Cyrene E2S1 - DHPT E2S1 was a comfortable 0-cycle.

I'll play with them some more and maybe post videos eventually as well, but that's all for now.

4.4 Anomaly King 0-cycle

It's been a while. 4.3 was the first Anomaly King I was unable to 0-cycle, so I kind of went into this patch's wanting to prove a point.

Anyway, Sunday is speed tuned to be greater than 161.7 speed to get 6 actions in 300 AV as long as you ult 3 times. DHPT is tuned to be slightly faster than Sunday so we can start the FuA dragons ASAP.

Some other notes:

  • The speed debuff ends up being a nothing burger with E2 Cyrene on Vonwacq, but it'd be really annoying to tune if your Cyrene is E0.
  • You can get full uptime on the FuA debuff by using Cyrene to throw DHPT dragons at the boss.
  • The biggest thing that'll cause a reset is if you get debuffed by the horsies, as the debuff also causes action delay. The Graphia CC in contrast isn't too bad as long as you have the SP to break out.
  • I'm happy that I Cyrene ult'ed Aglaea just enough for her to get an extra turn and no more.
  • I'm not happy that I made a bunch of misplays in timing DHPT's dragons. Looking back on it, I think I lost maybe 1-2 dragons due to bad timing.

Thoughts on Robin SP V1 after looking at her kit and showcases

Here are my initial thoughts on Robin E0S1 and how she compares to Sunday E0S1, as well as some thoughts on higher eidolons.

Let's first list what seems to be her ideal gameplay loop.

  • Build her fast, use her first turn to skill, then once she hits fever, she never leaves.
  • She gains Vibe stacks on ally actions, healing, and shielding, capped at 50.
  • Once in fever, there's a 140 SPD "checkpoint" (71.43 AV) where she loses either half her vibe stacks or 12, whichever is higher. If you lose all vibe stacks you go out of fever and are very sad.
  • Ideally you want to be able to go from 25 Vibes to 50 Vibes before the checkpoint.

Now let's look at her buffs.

  • 20% Vuln
  • Def Shred starting from 15.5% to 40% at max. Oscillating from 27.5% to 40%
  • EDIT: It was pointed out to me that the oscillating dmg boost is only for the birbs.
    • 30% DMG Boost from Technique.
  • Atk Boost starting at 16.4% of Robin's HP to 36%. Oscillating from 26% to 36%
  • DMG boost from technique (permanent if she never takes a 2nd turn). It's already acconted in the DMG boost above.
  • 20% SPD boost from LC (permanent if she never takes a 2nd turn)
  • Roughly 1-2 action advances and 20% to 40% extra energy to Aglaea per cycle.
    • At E0, going from 25 vibe to 50 vibe gives us 75 energy. 2 memo skills w/ an ER rope gets us 23.9 energy each, so we are short 17.2 energy to get 1 ult per spd checkpoint.

My thoughts.

  • The big benefit of Robin's buffs are that you get 100% uptime on them. With other action advancers, Aglaea loses buff uptime because she's so fast.
  • While her max buff values are enormous, the big caveat is that they are based on how fast she stacks vibe, which go from 25 to 50 in an ideal team.
    • In a team where she hits 50 right before the 140 SPD checkpoint, her average buff is actually in the middle of the 25 stack value and the 50 stack value. The less time it takes for her to hit 50, the larger the average buff she provides.
    • For Aglaea specifically, this means we do not actually over cap def shred w/ E2 Aggy, because both the def shred from Aggy and from Robin are variable.
  • We get more energy, and while we get fewer action advances, we decide when we use them, so they are guaranteed to always hit immediately after Aglaea's turn, compared to when it's Sunday's turn for Sunday or whenever Mem feels like for RMC.
  • Robin SP will be very skill testing at the highest levels. You'll probably see 0-cyclers planning their rotations to hit their strongest abilities right as Robin SP hits 50 vibes.
  • Unfortunately, Robin is probably an E1 merchant.
    • Going from 50 max vibes to 70 max vibes guarantees 1 ult per spd checkpoint.
    • The speed at which we hit max Vibes is also important.
      • If at E0 we hit max vibes right before the checkpoint, vs if we hit max halfway to the checkpoint at E1, that's actually a 35% increase in the strength of the buff on average.

Final thoughts are that I'm excited and I hope they keep her synergy with us intact thru the rest of the beta process.

Quite possibly the worst string of Gacha luck I've ever had

Well ... this sucks.

Started the patch with 400 pulls hoping to get Himeko E2 in a reasonable number of pulls, but oh well.

I'll just take the guarantee until we know if Robin or Aven are in her team I guess.

u/goob99 — 1 month ago

More people cleared MoC with an E6 Aglaea than an E0 Aglaea

Funny stat.

Also. this is why we're forever going to be low on the Prydwen tier list, since they only look at E0S1.

u/goob99 — 1 month ago

2%!!!!

Spent all of last night trying to get the 0-cycle on Anomaly last night with my Aglaea team and my best attempt was 2% short. >_<

The combination of the constant 500 HP drain and the stacking damage debuff was such a pita to deal with.

Even went ahead and looked at The Genius Archive to see if I missed anything, but the cheapest Aglaea 0-cycle team had the exact same investment as mine except their Aglaea had like 1000 more Atk and 40 more CD.

How important is it for sub-DPS Rin to have supportive planars?

I know that the Penacony planar set is ideal as a support for Archer, but as you can see I have a really good Rutilant set that lets me keep pace with my pseudo-200 SPD Sparkle (184.6 spd on Eagle).

Should I spend time farming for Penacony, or just spend the time farming Quantum 4pc for Rin and Archer instead?

Theorycraft on Maximizing Assist Skills with Speed Tuning

(1/3 posts)

Hi All!

I normally hang out in r/AglaeaMains where I do a bunch of theorycrafting on speedtuning for our (my) favorite speed queen.

Well, Himeko's V2 and the concept of "stance dancing" has made my brain operate something fierce. So here's what I believe is a good framework for maximizing HimekoNova's Assist Skills, and thus, her damage.

Please note that I don't really play around w/ MV, and this is primarily theorycraft. Part of the reason I'm posting this is so that people can try it out and beat it up to see if I missed anything.

I. The Framework

When we think about maximizing damage for Himeko, we want to do 3 things.

  1. Maximize the number of assist turns
  2. Make sure as many of Himeko's ults are in Verdict as possible
  3. If a teammate attacks, as much as possible make sure they are in Decimate.

So let's think about this. The maximal number of assists possible is one where Himeko then an AE member alternate turns. So

  • AE Member turn -> Himeko turn -> AE member turn -> Himeko turn ...

The easiest foundation for such a framework is actually with our one and only chicken wing boy, Sunday.

Using a standard -1 speed setup, the turns between the two look like this:

  • Himeko turn -> Sunday turn -> Himeko turn ..... Himeko turn -> Sunday turn -> Himeko turn

Now, the current ideal 3rd AE member would be Welt. If we continue to use standard -1 speed tuning, we come up with:

  • Welt: > 135 SPD; Himiko: 135 SPD; Sunday: 134 SPD
  • Rotation in Cycle 0:
    • W (elt) -> H (imeko) -> S (unday) -> H -> W -> H -> S -> H

Next, let's add a 4th member. To make sure they're in decimation, they have to be after Welt takes his turn, and before Sunday takes his.

  • Example: Welt 161 SPD; DHPT 160 SPD; Himiko: 135; Sunday: 134
    • W -> DHPT -> H -> S -> H -> W -> DHPT -> H -> S -> H
  • This rotation guarantees 8 assist skill opportunities. In practice it'll be 7 plus 1 Himeko skill because we'll actually run out of Assist Skill charges so Himeko will need to skill once.
  • Assuming it's vs 3 targets, we'll get a total of 18 charges for Decimation, so 2x extra assists
  • We'll also get at least 1x extra assist from Verdict, as Sunday will ult in Verdict, and you should time Himeko's ult to while she's in Verdict (so during her turn after Sunday acts).
  • Total energy:
    • 70 - starting Himeko energy
    • 30 - Himeko's skill
    • 140 - 7x Assist skills
    • 60 - 3x extra Assists
    • 28 - Sunday's ult
  • So enough energy in cycle 0 for 2 Himeko ults + change.

Of course, we're try-harding, so let's use Eagle set shenanigans to give Welt 3 actions in 150 AV.

  • I'll go over the ways to do that in the next segment as well as the speeds required.
  • Rotation:
    • W -> 4th -> H -> S -> H -> W -> 4th -> H -> S -> H -> W
  • This gives us 8 assist skills + 1 Himeko normal skill.

Finally, let's add our 4th member. The speed tuning for them will depend on how they're built.

  • Two turns per cycle, no action advance (Example: 160 SPD Healer/Shielder; MBlade in Smith Set)
    • just make sure their speed is between Welt and Himeko's speed
  • 200+ Speed, no action advance (Example, 200+ speed Hyacine, 200+, 200+ speed Cipher)
    • specific speeds will be in the builds guide.
    • regardless, 2 actions will be in decimation, 1 will be in verdict or outside either.

Gosh, this is really long, so builds + conclusion will be in a reply to this post.

Gil E1S1 - Aglaea E1S1 - Cyrene E2 - RMC Theorycrafting

Alright, Gilgamesh is basically the most exciting thing we've gotten since Cyrene, and it's honestly sparking my imagination.

Very quick caveat, these are, of course, Gil's V1, so expect a ton of changes as we go along in the beta.

Other caveat, part of this theorycrafting is for me, i.e. a self-proclaimed Aglaea sicko, so for this theorycrafting I assume Gil E1, Aglaea E1S1, Cyrene E2 at a base.

Anyway, let's get on to the yap.

Part 1 - The Synergy

Gilgamesh buffs (to Aglaea):

  • 100% Atk + 100% CD from trace
  • 30% def shred from E1
  • 25% CD from LC
  • 10% Lightning DMG from Penacony planar set

Aglaea buffs (to Gil):

  • Fast energy stacking (from ult). With Penacony + his LC, he'll have 15% bonus ER so each Aggy ult = 322 energy, or more than halfway towards his ult
  • Fast extra turn stacking (from Aggy + Mem + Garmentmaker actions)
  • 10% Lightning DMG for sharing the lightning element

Part 2 - The Builds

  • Gilgamesh - E1S1, base speed 4 pc Poet + 2 pc Penacony planar
  • RMC - 4pc Wind Set + 2pc Amphoreus Set. 154.7 SPD pre-combat. Shadowburn LC
    • this speed tuning guarantees 3 turns in Cycle 0 first wave with 1 ult, and 3 turns in in Cycle 0 second wave with 2 ults. Amphoreus planar buffs RMC's speed to 167.1
    • the Shadowburn LC gives RMC enough energy to immediately ult on his first turn.
  • Cyrene - E2S0, 2pc2pc SPD + 2pc Vonwacq. 200 SPD
  • Aglaea - 4pc Hero, 2pc Banana. Speed goals depend on level of investment.
    • E3 or below - base speed
    • E4+ - no real breakpoints. You'll want to at least hit 286.4 SPD fully buffed so that you can hit take 3 actions assuming you hit your first ult on the same AV as when Cyrene first hits hers, which is 45.2 AV as noted below.

Part 3 - Initial Rotation for Cyrene's first ultimate

  • 0 AV - 16 Recollection - 12 from E2, +1 from Garmentmaker atk, +3 w/ 3 Chrysos Heirs
  • 30 AV - Cyrene skills - 19 Recollection
  • 45.2 AV - RMC skills - 20 Recollection
  • 45.2 AV - RMC ults (possible using Shadowburn LC)
  • 45.2 AV - Mem hits 100% charge. Action Advances Cyrene - 21 Recollection
  • 45.2 AV - Cyrene skills - 24 Recollection
  • 45.2 AV - Cyrene ults and things start exploding

Anyway, can people tell I'm excited? :D

EDIT: On 45.2 AV, both Gilgamesh and Aglaea should be able to act twice. Gilgamesh will be at 8 interest before Cyrene's first ult. Her first ult pulls him up since he'll hit 11, then all the other ults will net him 9 more interest, plus some more from Mem and Aglaea taking turns.

Aglaea will also end up taking 2 turns, once when she ults, and another since Mem will get more than enough charge to advance Aglaea.

EDIT EDIT: This is what I get for being excited. I messed up Aglaea's breakpoints, those were accidentally calculated as if she had Vonwacq. Thanks u/-_-BIGSORRY-_- for catching the error.

Gilgamesh may work with Aglaea

So Gilgamesh’ initial kit is out, and it looks like it actually works well with Aglaea, which makes sense considering he’s supposed to be in a team with another blond ruler with a large energy ultimate who action advances a bunch.

https://hsr.nanoka.cc/character/1509/

Here’s what Aggy gets:

  • Both are lightning blast units
  • 100% Atk bonus + 100% Crit Damage
  • 30% def shred on E1
  • Tons o damage

Here’s what Aglaea provides:

  • He has a stacking counter that goes up by 1 every time an ally takes a turn, and he gains 3 when they ult. When the counter hits 10 he gets an extra action.
  • His ult cost is 600(!), but he has a trace where, if an ally uses an ultimate, he gets 80% of the energy used.
  • Everytime someone else uses an ultimate, he gets a 40% ult damage done buff stacking up to 3x times.

Sunday Speed Breakpoints (for Aglaea teams)

Has anyone else been psycho about the new relic preset feature, or is it just me?

In any case, here are some speed breakpoints to shoot for for our favorite Chicken Wing Boy (may Novaflare treat him kindly).

All of these breakpoints are with 4 piece Eagle + 2 piece Vonwacq + S1 with no other speed buffs like Amphoreus 2 pc or Huohuo E1 unless noted otherwise:

MoC

  • 156.7 - 3 actions in the first MoC cycle using 1 ult.

Anomaly Arbitration

  • 136.7 - 5 actions in the first AA cycle using 2 ults (0 cycle)
  • 161.7 - 6 actions in the first AA cycle using 3 ults (requires Cyrene or a LOT of hit energy to get 3 ults)
  • 157 - 9 actions in the first 3 AA cycles using 3 ults (Anomaly 3*)
  • 162.6 - 10 actions in the first 3 AA cycles using 3 ults w/ S5 DDD over S1 (Anomaly 3*)

Robin (use these thresholds no matter the mode if Robin is in the team)

  • 157.5 - 3 actions in Robin's ult duration (for Robin E0 to E1)
  • 142.2 - 3 actions in Robin's ult duration (for Robin E2+)
  • 180 - 3 actions in Robin's ult (Robin E0/E1) while using 4 pc Sacerdos (requires other external speed buffs to be achievable).
  • 164.7 - 3 actions in Robin's ult (Robin E2+) while using 4 pc Sacerdos.

Final note. If you do have other % speed buffs, they are based off Sunday's base speed, which is 96, so just multiply the speed buff % by 96 and subtract that from the required speed.

Hope these help!
