It feels like this happens to me every time I attempt to pull a main DPS character, but I lose the 50/50. Going for at least an E2 Himeko, I lost the 50/50 four times. The last time was to Argenti, which was such a disgusting fakeout. I spent well over $200 trying for her E2, as I have been wanting to rekindle my spark for HSR. I genuinely feel so upset with myself for going further and continuing. I have been maining standard Himeko since the game came out. HSR is such a "generous" game, yet somehow they don't have a system in place to prevent you from losing the 50/50 four times back to back. Maybe I can get E2 Himeko on her rerun.

My overall impression is that, in this patch, Robin’s role in Himeko's team is mainly to improve her single-target performance, thanks to the slightly higher Ultimate frequency and the stage buff.

Meanwhile, against three targets, Himeko leans more toward playing around Decimation. At the same Cost, E0 Robin + RMC barely surpasses RMC + E4 Welt.

Also, Iron Tomb is genuinely brutal. The sub requirements are extremely strict: if you don’t meet them, it’s very easy to get one-shot. If you can’t manage a 0c, the run may immediately fall all the way to 2c.

One additional note: when playing Robin, don’t obsess over getting the full 100% Action Advance every time. As much as possible, make sure you aren’t losing Himeko’s Assist activations. Prioritize using Robin’s Action Advance after your teammates have already taken their actions. Losing one Action Advance is much better than losing two Support Skill activations.

Subtitles:
Stage Buff 2: At the start of a character’s turn, restores 25% Energy. Skill and Ultimate DMG +40%.
Setup: E2S1 Himeko / E0S0 SP Robin / E0S0 DHPT.

Get Mem to 100% Charge before DHPT’s turn.
Cut in with RMC’s Ultimate so DHPT moves ahead of Himeko.
Cut in with SP Robin’s Ultimate during DHPT’s turn.
Trigger two consecutive Assists to use up all remaining activations.

Kill the left orb to action advance the whole team; the right orb restores Energy to the whole team.
(RMC barely gets ahead in the action order to top off Himeko’s last bit of Energy.)
Take one hit from Iron Tomb, then use Himeko’s Ultimate to finish Phase 1.
With damage to spare, Himeko’s second Ultimate also strips one additional layer of the DMG Reduction shield.
Don’t use DHPT’s Ultimate yet.
Across Iron Tomb’s two single-target attacks in Phases 1 and 2, at least one of them has to hit SP Robin.

Wait for Mem to act, then strip another layer of the DMG Reduction shield.
Himeko’s Skill buff has ended here, but her Support Skill has already refreshed.
Use this interaction to delay the next turn where Himeko needs to refresh her Skill.
Trigger one Support Skill.

Same idea: during DHPT’s turn, use SP Robin’s Ultimate to preserve Himeko’s remaining Support Skill activations.
Unless there’s a special reason not to, use Himeko’s Ultimate before her turn comes up so Navigator doesn’t lose one stack of its buff.
Once the Ultimate ends, make sure to kill the orb on the right. Otherwise, Iron Tomb’s turn will drain the entire team’s Energy.

Reapply Himeko’s Skill here.
Have RMC trigger only one Support Skill, then use RMC’s Ultimate to get Mem to 100% Charge.
When the heart icon in the upper-left takes its turn, it can activate an ally’s Ultimate.
Choose RMC to activate the Ultimate.
Let the rotation drift here. Wait until DHPT’s turn, then use Himeko’s Ultimate to finish Phase 2.

I should have used the Ultimate before the Support Skill here.
This wasted 10 Energy, but it doesn’t affect the outcome.
Use SP Robin’s Ultimate on RMC and fully charge Himeko’s Ultimate.
(Iron Tomb’s next action will drain the entire team’s Energy.)
Here, RMC can also trigger only one Support Skill, saving one activation for DHPT.

This global is fairly difficult to avoid here. Without Silver Wolf, it’s best to RNG it onto SP Robin.
Mem action advances DHPT; trigger two Support Skills.
Same idea: after using all remaining Assist activations, use SP Robin’s Ultimate to action advance Himeko.

One last note: with enough SPD on RMC, you can squeeze out three Assist activations.
Himeko: 38 subs. There is some overkill, so the build can be lowered a little, but the Phase 1 and Phase 2 constructs have strict damage requirements.
The more subs you have, the less RNG you need on the bounces.
SP Robin: 3 HP main stats + 1 ERR main stat.
Her SPD cannot be too low.

So if Himeko is about to take her turn, it’s fine to hold SP Robin’s Ultimate and wait? The important thing is not to action advance Himeko before using up all of her Assist activations, right?

If Himeko is already close to taking her turn, you can just hold Robin’s Ultimate. So it goes back to the condition I mentioned before. Basically, SP Robin puts more emphasis on proper SPD tuning for your supports.

Use that 4★ Cyrene Light Cone, the one I use in the video. If you need to hit a specific SPD breakpoint, then use HertaShop

Personally, I recommend E1.

Reply:

The sustain slot is basically fixed to DHPT. For the fourth slot, use RMC or Welt.

Do you only use Decimation?

If you’re running Welt, you basically have to alternate between Annihilation and Judgment. It doesn’t make much difference, though.

Yes.

Reply:

Annihilation is better for AoE, but this fight also gives Energy regeneration, so overall they’re pretty close. You can switch between them as needed.

I don’t have DHPT, Sparkle, or Sunday. With E1S1 Himeko, should I prioritize E2 Himeko or SP Robin?

E2 Himeko.

They work pretty well together. It depends on your rotation, if you know how to play the team properly, there aren’t really any major drawbacks.

i get she has extremely unideal teammates but she still feels so horrible

for reference shes currently dealing with e0s0 robin, e0s0 welt, e0s0 dhpt (my mc is currently being used with elation)

i will be getting robin sp and i will hopefully be getting aventurine sp which will free up my mc so she can get both robin sp and rmc but she feels horrible right now, especially in moc, the last moc i couldnt use her because she was terrible, this new moc i cant use her but i feel like my build isnt even that bad

Holy moly, I didn't think I could 0 cycle Dark Sam with E0S1 Himeno but here we are. Should I pull for Bobin to get more comfortable with her teambuilding? I heard they're planning on releasing her future AE support chars for Himeno.

Team Comp is: E1S1 Sunday, E1S5 DDD Sparkle and E4S0 Welt (no 4pc Eagle used).
