Ok I got this from a glacier in alaska and am trying to keep in living and growing, I live in northwest indiana right outside Chicago. Could I just use the dirt from outside im assuming not but please let me know i want it to grow and thrive

I got it for free and I wanna get it working but I cant get the film door on the bottom off I think it has something to do with old light seals making it stick but I think that might be just an assumption also the shutter button got stuck after I clicked it any thoughts on getting it working

Also this is my first rangefinder so I really want to get it working

I'm gonna be going to alaska and have a connecting flight in seattle, I'm leaving from ohare chicago.

I'm gonna also be bringing my messager bag as my personal item, yes my lures are in a checked luggage. I'm leaving tommrow so I need some answers please.. Will they let me on please and thank you
