Kyle on WWHL talks Ciara/West kissing before the last episode

Kyle stated on WWHL last night “I was with them at the US open. They hashed it out. 24 Hours later they were making out.”

I gathered Kyle is referring to boat day (Sat. Aug 23) as the date West/Ciara hashed things out. A little more than 24 hours later (Mon. Aug 25) he is with them at the US open and spots Ciara/West making out for the first time that summer. This is before the last episode and dreaded kiss scene.

TIMELINE - AUGUST 2025

The difference between Ciara pouring and Amanda kicking the bottle at Jules

So “Jules bottle gate” may have been forgotten but this week’s episode made me think about it and the difference in reactions.

Ciara (S10 E15): Ciara is pouring a drink into Lindsay’s mouth while standing on the table. When she realizes it could be risky she immediately says “oh sorry sorry how’s your tooth.” It’s clear Ciara was trying to have fun not hurt or embarrass anyone. Her instant reaction is concern and checking in.

Amanda (S4 E14): Hannah is pouring fireball into Jules’ mouth when Amanda uses her boot to kick the glass bottle into Jules’ face. Fireball spills everywhere, embarrassing Jules and could’ve easily really harmed her. Amanda doesn’t apologize or check on her…. instead she laughs and seems pleased with herself.

Both involve pouring alcohol but the intent and reaction are completely different. Ciara shows empathy and concern right away. Amanda lacks remorse and takes joy in humiliating Jules. It’s cruel and strange behaviour.

Impression of West on WWHL discussing the Jenn hookup

The fidgety mannerisms are so spot on. Also the way West talks about women/hook up’s is gross.

Jenn if you’re reading, ALLEGEDLY 😘

Danny calling Nia performative

Danny is clearly projecting because he is the one being performative here. Nia is trying to have an identity outside their kids and get back to the old Nia. So what if she is extra excited to spend some time with her husband. Danny can't stand his wife's excitement/joy and immediately shoots her down.

After dismissing his wife, he slaps a fake smile on his face and greets the group with a sudden burst of high energy.

For Danny's next performance, I suggest the role of a caring and present father/husband.

In (Season 5 Episode 8) of Summer House, Amanda is clinging to Kyle’s shorts trying to stop him from going after Luke. Then at the Yankees game, when West stands up cheering, she yanks on his jeans.

Different situations, same instinct. Amanda jumps to physically managing the moment instead of using her words. It also leans into that nagging, pestering, almost motherly energy where she’s trying to regulate someone else’s behaviour in real time. At this point it feels less like a one-off and more like a pattern.

Amanda comes off hyper-aware of the guy she’s with and how he’s acting. She’s not nearly aware of her own behaviour. It follows her pattern of hiding behind the “out of control guy” and being the victim of their behaiour. Amanda is such a saint dealing with Kyle’s behaviour was a narrative for years, she was able to hide her shady/poor character.

I’m doing a re-watch and Carl and Lindsay’s first date is very telling of their future issues. I have never seen a first date turn so bad so fast (it’s almost impressive). Lindsay’s abandonment issues paired with Carl’s commitment issue not to mention the fireball… it’s a train wreck waiting to happen.

I understand they cared about each other a lot and there was an attraction but they were not compatible romantically.

Why do think they didn’t work out and do you miss their friendship?

Since hearing the leaked audio I am tired of Andy not following up questions and letting people interrupt. I had hope for this reunion… Andy would be fired up and we would get answers. I know we only heard a few clips but he seems way in over his head.

Now our Amish friend Lindsay has actually kept the conversation moving in past reunions. She has stepped in to summarize people’s perspectives (Jesse/Lexi) to allow for meaningful conversation and some type of resolution. This reunion she again stepped in since the conversation was going haywire (everyone taking over each other). She sounded like more of a host than Andy did. I know she is busy with In the City but if the show is a flop, I’d love to see her host.

If not Lindsay who else would you like to see host reunions?
