Alfred book 1 to improvising Jazz

My current skill level is finishing up Alfred Book 1. My only goal is to be able to improvise jazz. Now that I have a basic foundation, where do I go from here?

I'm not trying to become a master sight-reader or classical pianist. I want to focus purely on jazz and improvisation. I'm looking for a streamlined learning path/course specifically geared toward that goal.

Thanks in advance.

Breaking down Joe's stand-up

I was watching a Joe Rogan stand-up clip and I was wondering why it wasn't hitting for me. I know there's people out there that likes to just say he's a bad stand-up comedian but just stripping away his reputation for a sec, like is there anyone that can really break it down "scientifically" what he's doing wrong and maybe even what he's doing right (if any)?

I sometimes don't know where or what his punchlines are. But I don't understand stand-up like some of you folks.

Just like how a director or filmmaker might watch a bad movie to see what not to do. Is there a similar study in the stand-up realm?

There are clearly people that are laughing and enjoying his "comedy". So I'm assuming there must be "jokes" in his rants. Hoping someone that better understands the craft explain what "type" of comedy he is doing.

EDIT: per request, we can use this YT link for Rogan's bits/rants. https://youtu.be/j65jhGZUJv8?si=A9JnbbzIXjuNwq0v

Recently tried Whole Foods ready made, ready to eat bbq ribs and was surprised that it was edible. I wouldn't say it, "hit the spot". But definitely worth getting if I'm not trying to drop a hundred bucks at a BBQ joint.

What other grocery stores have decent bbq ribs? Beggars can't be choosers but if it's dry rub that would be ideal (although I don't mind wet rubs).

Just so there's no confusion, not asking for the premade bbq rib packs where you take it home and cook it yourself. I'm talking about the ones that are already HOT and under the heat lamp.

Thanks in advance.
