What do you do with old gloves?

What do you do with old gloves?

And when do you make the decision when to retire a pair?

Seems a shame to bin these, and pairs like them.

I've noticed the grip on these isn't what it used to be but they've given me 7 months of playing on astroturf 1-3 times a week, and have served me well.

what's your save to concede ratio (7 a side)

For an average game?

For me, some days are good. I might concede 1 for every 3 chances. Days like today, where my defence was struggling and I was left 2 or 3 on one several times, it was more like 1:1.

Shite driving or doing something dodgy?

Sorry, nothing happens after ~30 seconds, but never clipped the video.

Didn't even realise what had happened until the unmarked Garda car started to give chase.

Rear cam captured a car behind me taking a left exit, as the land rover(?) drove towards them. They flashed them and managed to make it to the exit before the idiot bombed past them.

Really hope the gards caught them...

What have you seen elsewhere that you like done in Dublin?

I love Dublin, and think there are issues with kids, antisocial behaviour and general dirt in most capital cities. We have great people, tourists, beaches, mountains and feels like we (politicians, groups etc) could be doing more to make Dublin better.

What have you seen elsewhere that you'd like to see here?

London - on escalators, stand on right and walk on the left. Simple, everyone follows it and it works.

Make use of riverside areas. Paris and London, for two, do this really well. Bars, restaurants, entertainment, art etc... Riverside should be prime estate for relaxing and enjoying views.

Bring some art and creativity into our utilitarian bits. Fun benches, bins and just nonsense arty bits or things that aren't just designed to do a job (of that makes sense). I saw modified social benches recently and they were lots of fun for people walking past, and seemed to bring lots of joy. (Picture in OP)

Markets like Borough, English market, Covent Garden, Ponce City Market, time out market  - I think this is being solved by the one near Smithfield, hopefully opening soon. But we need more of that!

Should I report this?

This morning I was walking with my two kids on crèche dropoff. Our road is small, with drop kerbs and cars parked on footpaths all over the place. A bin truck was navigating it's way down the street, and a taxi driver refused to move. He was right outside a double driveway, so could easily have moved in a foot or two, but just sat there refusing to move. The binmen were pleasing with him, but he wasn't having it. They started to reverse to make their way around him. As I was passing I leaned down and indicated to him "would you not move?" He rolled down the window and asked what the fuck I wanted. I asked again "would you not just move in a foot or two and let them pass"? My tone was friendly, as I was holding my 20month old in one arm, and holding hands with my 4 year old. He screamed at me to fuck off and mind my own fucking business. I was shocked, and couldn't come back with anything obviously, as I had the kids. I went to take out my phone to catch his reg and he sped off. I mean he absolutely floored it. In a residential street (30km) at a busy time... Is this worth reporting to anyone? (Gards, taxi federation)? My son was so shook, asking what the man said and why he was shouting. Or do I just get on with my day.
