How easy is the hitch from Onion Valley to Independence?

Planning to resupply at Independence Post Office. Wondering how easy it is to catch a hitch out of Onion Valley TH? Can this be done in one day there and back or do I need to plan for an overnight in Independence? Thanks!

[Complete] [76K] [Vampire Hunter Horror/Comedy] Long in the Tooth

Hi,

Long in the Tooth is a fast-paced horror/comedy with plenty of laughs, fun characters, mystery, action, lore, and a bit of sexy romance.

What I'm looking for:

  1. Do the plot/characters work?
  2. Is it entertaing throughout?
  3. Room for improvement?
  4. 1-2 week turnaround.

Happy to send chapters and then the entire book upon request. DM me for sample chapters and always happy to beta swap!

Comparable Titles: John Dies at the End, Grosse Point Blank, Blade, Dresden Files.

Tagline:

Asher Matsui is sick of his job, and that job is Vampire Hunter.

Synopsis:

Asher Matsui is sick of his job, and that job is Vampire Hunter.

Fourteen years ago, the squabbling vampire kings united for a surprise attack. Sent into a blind rage after witnessing the death of his first love and vampire-hunting partner, Asher’s one-man rampage turned the tide. The unsuspecting citizens will never know it, but to “The Order”, Asher was a hero.

And fourteen years later, this hero’s given up.

His feckless, geriatric bosses squander every opportunity against the vampires and won’t step aside. His new partner is a reckless, muscle-bound speed freak with the enthusiasm of a golden retriever. And the young hunter gunning for his job takes his social cues from a manosphere podcast (upcoming guests: a Toddler Masculinity Coach and a Jawline Consultant.)

All that keeps Asher going is his next Russian cigarette (that he’s trying to quit,) a bottle of healing potion (that shortens his lifespan,) and the dream of retirement (if he can survive the night.)

And maybe, asking out the goth waitress at the local diner/record shop (But is she even into him?)

Until one night, a chance encounter one night with a hapless vampire clues him into a high-level, looming plot between The Order’s leadership and the vampire kings.

Betrayed by those he trusted, this washed-up hero must follow the clues, ally with sworn enemies, and risk everything to save his fellow hunters from certain doom, and the unprotected city from another bloodbath.

Trail Angels in Lone Pine?

Hi,
Is there an up-to-date list of Trail Angels in Lone Pine, CA that isn't on Facebook? Does anyone have a trail angel to recommend? I erased my FB years ago and don't want to get back on if I can help it.

Edit: I'm looking for a ride to Cottonwood Pass trailhead and if possible, a yard to camp out on for a night.

Thanks,
Paul

Thunder Mountain in May/June?

Has anyone been out to Thunder Mountain recently? Took a look at AllTrails and it's saying snow depth for Thunder Mountain is currently 8 inches. I don't doubt it given this snow year but that seems crazy low. No reports this year from either AllTrails or WTA
