Question about scanning negatives?

I’ve returned to shooting film, in addition to digital, in the last year. I am not developing (yet) but I am planning on scanning some of my own negatives (the ones I really like)

I have some questions about the technical aspects of digitizing, without a dedicated macro lens, using my system.

I sold all my old digital equipment, revived my old film camera, and bought a used Hasselblad X2D. My thought process was if I want to take casual photos I have a cell phone, and all other times I’m out shooting my intention is to be slow, methodical, creative, and treat it as an artistic endeavor.

I have a 55V lens, it’s not macro and it’s not flat field. However I’m digitizing 35mm negatives, so I’d be using an aggressive crop on the medium format sensor.

Have any of you done this? What kind of results have you had?

Any advice? I’d really rather not have to acquire an additional camera or macro lens just to digitize and would prefer to get this task done within the confines of the equipment I have.

Small Rig Wood Handle Cage

I have a couple Small Rig Wood Handled Cages I’m not using anymore. One is barely used and one is still in the bubble wrap.

Anyone looking to buy one?
