I (M34) met a woman (F36) a couple of months ago, we flirted, went on dates, generally worked around her changing jobs and my shift pattern
We slept together (multiple times, before anyone says it was the sex) a week ago and then I asked her to basically go exclusive, leave the apps because I thought we had a good thing and wanted to be intentional
She started getting anxious, and basically said it takes her a while to develop feelings and that all her relationships ended badly
Today I got a message saying that between her new job, doing her house up, etc that her life was too chaotic to date and that she felt bad that she couldn't give me the same energy as her new job and house require - and would hope to be friends until things settle down and "that wasn't what I would want" - I'm not going to argue if someone doesn't want a relationship with me, why would I? They've made up their mind
Personally I think she's rejected me to protect herself
How do you deal with attachment avoidant people?
So I M(34) have been seeing F(36) for a while, we recently slept together and afterwards when I was ultimately honest and emotionally vulnerable I asked if she'd like to date me exclusively, she started saying that she didn't know how she truly felt and I tried to reassure her and say that it's okay not to know and ultimately if she decides we would be better as friends then I respect her decision
She's due to start a new job and then proceed to explain it takes her a long time to decide whether or not she has romantic intentions towards someone, but she pursued me on the dating app where we met
Now she's basically stonewalling me, is this a "leave the ball in her court" situation?
Edit - thought it was "get advice" not "giving advice"
