Saw a post about turning a duo to a game co sole a while back. Been meaning to try it myself and finally got around to it.
I chose to use the elcheapo knockoff joycon since it can be charged with usbc cables.
I really wanted a digital now playing display but couldn't bare the cost of getting one. So I am now making one myself to use with my el cheapo Chinese tablet.
Still trying to navigate on what works best for ambient recording to fingerprint the sound to identify the music and where to pull the Metadata and album art from.
I am currently stuck between finger printing the sound tonidentify the album vs just scanning the barcode/jacket to identify the album.
Fingerprinting feels more fancy but fails due to the fact some songs are listed in more than one album and it just pulls which ever was the most recent or tge most sold.( i am kinda getting mixed results atm.)
Scanning feels definitely more analog but does return more accurate data. I am Guinness digging my wife as a soul tester right now. And once thing get more polished I am planning to add some sort of equalizer and what not.
