ateez title tracks are no longer alternative

ateez is my ults but people who claim that they’ve always experimented are purposely being dense.
hongjoong himself said that they are trying out new styles for the golden hour series and maybe they will go back to what they used to make later.
i would argue that really they are doing less experimentation, more trend following.. now dont come for me but brazilian phonk has been trending, im not suprised we got BAD for the title track.
same with lemon drop, iomt, and work, at the time, that style was trending.
adrenaline was sort of an outlier tbh.
- a lot of ateez’s current fanbase was gained during the world series, literally their most alternative era
all this to say, im not surprised for the dislike of BAD (ghp5’s title track) by both new and old fans. it’s not like their old music and it’s not like the music a lot of the fanbase likes
these people are still atiny and are allowed to express their opinions 🩷
