Missed to fill self-assessment in original ITR and received demand for original return even after all taxes paid. No intimation received yet for revised return.

I received an intimation under 143(1) for my original ITR (ack no. is same as the org. ITR ack no.) - I got demand for ~4.8k rupees which I already paid during original ITR filing. But I could not fill the self-assessment challan details in the ITR. I then filled a revised ITR next day (31st July) filling all details, before the original ITR got processed.

The self-assessment is visible in AIS too.

I did not receive any intimation for my revised ITR yet. I got intimation for original ITR after I filed revised return.

I have an outstanding demand in income tax portal. What should I do?

How should I respond to the demand? Should I disagree or agree with this demand?

Is FIFO applicable on sell to cover transaction on foreign RSUs?

Hi I was allotted 124 shares out of which 26 were sold as part of sell to cover tax and broker commission in FY 2024-25. This left me with 98 shares.

I then received dividend later in FY 2025-26 with no tax withheld which got automatically reinvested. I gained 3 shares. I did not voluntarily sell any shares. (101 shares)

Later again I received 97 shares and 16 were sold as sell to cover leaving me with 81 shares. Making a total of 182 shares.

My question is in the 2nd sell to cover - will FIFO be applied? How do I know it? How should I fill Schedule CG for sell to cover this year?

ITR filing for RSU from UK based employer

Hi, I work in a UK based MNC in India. My employer gifts RSUs every year from 2024. They are granted and vested on same day. A sell to cover tax transaction happens on vesting date and tax is paid to India. A small commission is cut by equateplus which manages the RSUs for my employer. No tax is with

I've received monetary dividend into my HDFC bank account in 2024 once. After that I chose to reinvest. Since 2025, my dividends are getting reinvested automatically.

What schedules do I fill in ITR? Is schedule OS and schedule FA enough? Is Schedule FSI required for the dividends? I have done no sale on my shares voluntarily, they kept piling up.
