(UK) lifelenz swap shift option

i have this event that i need to go to, the dates only got confirmed yesterday and i forgot to ask for the day off. i want to swap shifts with someone but i’m not sure how i’d do that.

also i’m a trainee, i’ve only been working there for a couple of months. i have been trained everywhere thought. just wondering if there is any restriction on trainees when it comes to dropping/swapping shifts.

who sends/when are IB remarks sent to UCAS?

had a successful remark so i got into my firm.

i got the remark back last week and i called my firm and they said UCAS hasn’t sent my updated grade.

UCAS operator was a bit confused to, and said i needed to check if the IB is gonna send the grade or if i have to.

i am genuinely so confused and i would just like my place confirmed on the programme 😭 there is no direct answer for this online

anyone who applied to uni via UCAS and had to have a grade remarked, please help!

HL Biology Remark increased by 4%!

hi!! i needed a 7 in biology to get into my dream uni, and i was 2% marks (3 raw marks across P1B and P2) away from a 7.

After reviewing my component marks (listed below), i decided to remark, since my P1A was already strong (and keeping in mind they don’t remark it), and i felt that P2 went better, since in P2 section B, i did the 2 human biology questions that i felt stronger in.

component marks before:
P1A: 37/40
P1B: 31/35
P2: 53/80

my remarked resulted in a 4% increase :)) from 76% to 80% (TZ2 grade boundaries were crazy)

so this is your sign to remark!!!

missed UCL med offer

i did the IB diploma and missed my UCL contextual offer by 1 IB point. I got 35 points and I needed 36 points. They also wanted 665 in my HLs and I got 666, currently remarking to see if I can get an extra point. I had extenuating circumstances throughout exams which the IB has already accounted for.

I did a lot of research and found out that the lowest grade that UCL have accepted for med is AAA (the equivalent of 666). I also found that out of 54 people on the waitlist, 3/54 were accepted and the following year was 4/54.

I don’t know what happens to my UCL offer now, am I on a waitlist? Has anyone been in this (quite rare) situation before, and what was the outcome?

I’d really appreciate any advice or encouraging words. I can’t do GEM or go abroad to study medicine. it really is my passion in life (i know this sounds a bit delusional but it’s true).

how does UCAS work on IB results day?

IB results day is on monday 6th july this year, and UCAS gets our results on 5th July. My questions are:

Can I check UCAS on the 5th July to see if I got into my firm?

Can I check UCAS at 8am on 6th July to see if i got into my firm (similar to A-level results day)?

Theres no really clear answer to this anywhere else so I came onto this subreddit looking for answers. Any advice/insight is welcome and much appreciated!!

Good luck to M26 IB students who are waiting, not long now :)

edit: removed a question because it basically repeated the second question.
