I FINALLY DID IT!!!

After years of trying to perfect my rice I have finally done it! Slightly sticky, but not gluey rice- my aim way to be able to make plain rice like in restaurants- keeps it's shape but falls apart a little in the sauce. I particularly wanted to do this so that I could have left over day old rice to make fried rice with.

After lots of research, trail and error I have finally done it- I used a rice cooker, washed it with a technique I found online (made a huge difference to way I was originally trying), cooked with the right amount of water and using jasmine rice all came together yesterday to give me the best rice I have ever made- made fried rice just now I'm genuinely absolutely made up about how great it is! Oh and I got a new wok...and used way more oil than before. It may seem a really small thing to those of you who have grown up eating rice but for me it's opened up a whole new tasty world!!

Hi! I'm looking for advice about foraging and preparing plants to aid water retention. I have hit perimenopause and am struggling with water retention and I know that cleavers and dandelions are good for this...and I'm thinking of making a tincture out of them, or possibly tea...

Should I be looking for anything else? Should I be taking the roots as well as the plants? Do I need to dry them? Any tips or help greatly appreciated, I really want to try and find a natural solution to this issue!

Wedding coming up, only dress code was dress to impress and not to wear blue (or white obviously!)

I plan to wear this with a mint green fascinator and muted gold heels, bag and shawl (as an option if a bit chilly). Is it a bit meh?

Edit* thanks everyone for taking the time to reply, either positively to negatively. I think the real problem is the dress doesn't feel very me at all- I prefer edgier looks in general. Unfortunately having left it so late I may have to just make the best of it and wear it and frump it out 😭 Lesson learnt- next time don't leave it so late then panic order several dresses 🤣
