1916 $1 known as the “Flying Dragon”. Just got it back from PCGS… enjoy!
Any help identifying/translating would be appreciated. Tools online have not been much help.
Weighs 28.2g.
Based on my research the translations I got are:
大中元年制 = Made in the First Year of Dazhong
御銀壹兩 = Imperial Silver – One Tael
The first year of Dazhong would date it 847 AD, but I do not believe it to be this old. I believe it is late Qing to early Republican timing, when my family was in Sichuan.
Any help is appreciated.
For all the China banknote collectors out there. PMG population of 12.
Family was in Sichuan, primarily Chengdu, from the late 1890s till the 1940s.
The vase has no clear markings or identifiers. From some research I believe it’s late Qing or early Republican, but any help is appreciated.
I have a Walkthrough submission with PCSG that was entered on June 10th. A 5-day turnaround would mean tomorrow (June 17th) the service would be complete, however it is still showing in the grading phase. Has anyone experienced a delay with a Walkthrough service before?
I didn’t have time to call in first thing and the callback queue is full for today…
I believe it’s from the 50s or 60s, and a Seamaster, however any help narrowing down the reference would be appreciated.
Freshly graded. Relatively low serial number. From what I’ve been able to gather, not many reported NBNs from Wenatchee.
CORRECTION: Central Bank of China
Eight sequential serial numbers in uncirculated condition from my grandfather’s collection.
