Went to jeweler about engagement ring concerns and after some persistence they are going to be remaking my ring (regardless because of a divet that was on the basket).

Which looks better?

I like the front facing petal look of the resin one but unsure about the sideview and how being set lower will affect sparkle. They said it’d be a little less light and sparkling being set lower.

Size 7.75 finger, 2.55ct F VS1 marquise (2.75 ctw)

It doesn’t even sit in the basket.

I love how large the marquis appears but think the oval might look better with the setting I’ve been wanting. Both stones pictured are a little over 2ct. Going for a princess vibe.
