What’s your hospital like?

Hey RTs, how much autonomy do you have at your hospital?

I’m noticing that hospitals seem to vary a lot in what RTs are allowed to do. Some places in my area allow RTs to intubate, place arterial lines, independently manage ventilator settings through protocols, etc., while other hospitals seem much more limited/provider-dependent.

I want to know what your experience is like where you work.
- What procedures and decisions are RTs allowed to make?
- What requires physician approval?
- Do you feel like you can practice your scope appropriately?
- Do you like the level of autonomy or wish it was different?

Thanks guys!

Third Hallandale vial question

Hi everyone, I’m currently on week 7 of Hallandale with one shot left. I’m curious when everyone else got their 3rd vial because I haven’t received any notifications from FedEx or UPS regarding a new shipment. When did you receive yours? Should I contact anyone? Thanks :)

I’m currently on my 4th dose of 5 mg. The first couple weeks on 5 mg were honestly great — appetite suppression and food noise control were really noticeable. But the last 2 weeks, especially this week, my mental hunger/food noise has come back HARD.

The weird thing is I’m not physically starving. I’m eating enough protein and balanced meals, and I’m not super stressed right now. I just feel mentally hungry constantly and I’m thinking about food way more again.

Did anyone else have a “dip” like this at 5 mg before moving up? Did it level back out or did you need a higher dose?
