Is it worth going to the NYC show? I’ve heard it’s a bad venue and it’s on a Sunday night. I’m trying to meet more people with similar interests in my area.

I just cannot stand being in an adult setting and having someone speak to you like you’re a toddler! I took a Pilates class once and the instructor addressed us as “friends” or “buddies” the whole time. At the end she was like “and now friends what do we all have to remember to do? *pauses for answer like Dora the explorer* Let’s all wash our hands so we don’t spread yucky germs” like please. There’s also a specific tone they use and often nod their head along with what they’re saying or make over exaggerated expressions.

I’m not sure why it bothers me so much it just feels disingenuous.
