A White Jelly Mushroom Anecdote

Wanted to share because I feel like there is a lot of mystery behind this product. I mainly tried the ND White Jelly Mushroom pills because they supposedly can aid in circulation. I thought the skincare benefits would be a nice bonus if it worked. I’ve been taking one pill every night before bed for two weeks now. Can’t tell if it’s done anything for my circulation but I’m blown away by my skin. (31 F) always had super dry skin, even as a teenager. My skin is now absolutely glowing 24/7. Any time I look in the mirror it looks like I just put moisturizer or face oil on. Normally my face soaks up moisturizer and looks dry again after an hour or two.

I’ve also seen a noticeable increase in acne. But that trade off is completely worth it for me and I imagine my skin may adjust over time. But that may be something to keep in mind for anyone who’s starting point is oily.

Now I’ve been searching online trying to figure out why this is not more talked about in the beauty industry.

I’m looking to add WJM topically. I’m trying to decide between buying a moisturizer from other brands or making something with ND’s WJM powder. Any thoughts on that appreciated but I mostly just wanted to share my anecdote.

Share What You Love About a Game

I love analyzing and comparing games. Everything from counting the number of puzzles to analyzing what makes a game great. I love the Sassy Detective blog for that reason.

That being said, I have noticed personally that if I'm overly focused on evaluating and ranking a game (especially during the first playthrough or first in a long time), then I have less fun. Comparison is the thief of joy, right?

So I think it would be so fun to hear what games you love and why. Bonus points for games that usually get ranked poorly, but I'd also love to hear about the popular ones. For example, practically everyone likes Blackmoore Manor, but maybe there are reasons to love it that we haven't noticed or appreciated!

Of course hide spoilers if you're sharing any. And feel free to share on multiple games if you're up for it.

I'll go first:

TRT. I know this one is widely adored, and the people who don't like it are sick of hearing about it and chalk it up to nostalgia.
This was my first game, but it has been decades since I've played it. Since I don't remember anything I'm not sure there's much nostalgia but I could still be biased.

  1. Environmental "puzzles"

So I love puzzle-heavy games, and I wish this one had more (just finished SEA so I got spoiled with puzzles and in comparison this one feels so light). BUT there are so many "puzzles" or problems that you solve in your environment in TRT and I think that is so neat. Examples: >!the keypad, needing to charge the camera and learn from that footage, the ducts and putting the elevator in the right spot to get to other parts of the castle!<

  1. The exploration.
    >!The elevator, crawling through the ducts, and I!<>! felt like freaking Indiana Jones when I stumbled across the rotating steps that you pull the chains for. !<

I also love the part >!in the secret room in the library where you learn about Dexter Eagan's past. !<It reminds me of finding old stuff in real life when exploring my grandma's attic or abandoned places. Very immersive for me.

  1. It's very manual and realistic. (some may say tedious)

And I know it's kind of repetitive with certain things, but I sort of like that. Having to use your room key each time you go into your room feels more real, even if it could be considered tedious. Waiting for people to show up based on time of day is also very tedious but makes it feel more real.

  1. It's gorgeous.

Also I just think it's so pretty. But appreciating the old art style is admittedly a nostalgia thing because the graphics in something like SEA are obviously better.

Of course it isn't perfect; it's a bit clunky in some ways. When I go to ask for hints Bess and George have no idea what part of the game I'm at lol

Maybe by the end I'll have more to add. Hopefully some of this makes it more fun for anyone who doesn't enjoy it so much.

Can't wait to hear what you all love about the games.

Anywhere to get samples for nootropics?

I'd love to find a place to get samples, even if they're paid samples. The problem is I'll try something new, and at least half of the time it doesn't work for me or gives me side effects, and then I have a drawer full of things I'll never use.

Anyone know of anything like this?
