I’ve had a Pro-ject Debut Carbon for about four years. Love the sound, but for the past year, I’ve been having trouble with the left RCA Jack. It mostly doesn’t work but sometimes randomly it will. I called support last year and they suggested that I spray contact cleaner into the RCA Jack, which worked for about a week before it stopped working again. I have repeated that process a number of times of the last year with diminishing results. At this point, it has become frustrating that it never works when I want to. Pro-ject uses a third-party vendor for repairs in California and I am on the East Coast. Between shipping charges diagnostics, labor, and parts, I feel like I should just buy something else. Wondering if you have recommendations on a.) whether this is something I can fix myself b.) whether this is something worth fixing and c.) what a good replacement might be.
