Hi! Firstly thanks to everyone who saw my original post on the skirt-to-pants-weird-fit and left a comment! I really appreciate all the feedback, ideas and suggestions. I tried to tackle the pants today and I couldn’t make them work so now I’m pleading for additional advice 🙏🏼
I took apart the top, removed the buttons and tried to properly do the crotch part (used a pair of well fitting pants and left 5+ cm for seam allowance/room for error). It looked like it could really work…but only from the front. I noticed I got a wedgie every time I moved too much. I played around with how much room to leave in the back and I couldn’t get it right. It was either too tight or it bunched up with movement. Then I tried to insert a gusset, pinned it down just to see if it would work - it kinda did (I think, I was frustrated atp), but the problem is that the gusset needs to sit a bit higher up and since the fabric is so thin, it was obvious that is was there.
I was thinking:
from the scrap pieces (or if I undo some of the pleats) I can insert a few rectangles to get more space at the back? (maybe on outer thighs?)
from scrap fabric make an additional waistband to elongate the original one and bring the pants part a bit lower?
Do you think that or something else could work or should I count my losses?
Hi, so these pants used to be a pretty skirt but I thought they would look really cool as shorts. Did I fuck up? Do they look really weird? Coworker said it looks bad in the back - like it scrunches up in my butt, idk help please
I intend to take in some of the fabric on my behind and remove maybe two bottom buttons more and close the holes but overall what else can I do?
I want to make my straight jeans (already ripped the seams) into bell bottoms by adding lace. I’ve never sewn lace so I’m not sure how to do it securely. My plan is to just fold the lace between jeans and straight stitch the top. Would that be okay or do you have any other suggestions?

Hi, do you have any advice on how to clean up this mold in my bathroom?
I intend to buy a dehumidifier because I live in a tiny studio apartment and there’s a lot of moisture. But I’m wondering how I can clean the mold on the wall and in between tiles.
