My mom used to tease me, saying if I keep cooking like this, I’m gonna end up being the one who gets married off 😂

But what can I do? I just wanna eat good food lol.
Made some spicy shrimp seafood stew and egg-battered luncheon meat (Richam).
My roommate absolutely loves it 😂

Does anyone else pick their tea depending on their mood or what they’re doing?

I originally got an Osulloc tea set as a housewarming gift. I started going through the different flavors one by one, and somehow I went from “oh, this is a nice gift” to actually buying more of them myself lol.

My favorite by far is Marron Glace Black Tea. I’m already a big black tea person, but compared to something like English Breakfast, this one tastes nuttier to me while the tea itself feels a little softer and more subtle. I usually have it with a bagel in the morning, and they go surprisingly well together. It hits even better when the weather is chilly.

I also drink Yuja Earl Grey pretty often. If you like Earl Grey but sometimes want a little something extra going on, this one is worth trying. I usually drink it at work when I’m getting tired. It feels less sharp than regular Earl Grey to me, and the yuzu gives it a nice refreshing citrus note.

I drank a ton of it during April–June when the temperature kept going up and down. Something about drinking yuzu tea also makes me feel like I’m doing something healthy and keeping a cold away 😂 Probably just psychological, but I’ll take it. Lately I’ve actually been reaching for this instead of coffee at work.

Samda Honey Pear Tea is a different story. It’s good hot, but I actually prefer making it cold and adding a little honey. After a night of drinking, a cold glass of this the next day is ridiculously refreshing. I’m not claiming it actually cures a hangover lol, but it definitely feels like it does.

Those are probably my top three, but I also regularly drink Jeju Camellia Flower Tea and Fig Chocolat Tea.

I think what I ended up liking most about having a mixed set is just being able to switch things up. I normally gravitate toward pu-erh, English Breakfast, and Earl Grey, but buying a full box of every tea I want to try always feels like I’m going a little overboard lol.

With a variety box, I can just grab whatever sounds good depending on my mood, the weather, or how I’m feeling that day. I usually finish the whole thing in about 2–3 weeks, and honestly, those couple of weeks feel a little more fun when I’m not drinking the same thing every day.

I tend to prefer teas that are softer and more relaxing rather than really intense, and I guess that’s why I’ve ended up liking quite a few of the teas in this set.

It’s kinda funny that this whole thing started as a housewarming gift and now I’m the one buying it for myself 😂

Anyway, what teas do you guys keep coming back to? Do you have different ones for different moods or situations? Doesn’t have to be Osulloc at all — I’d love some recommendations.

Anyone else pick different teas depending on their mood or the situation?

Do you guys have favorite teas you switch up based on how you’re feeling? I really love brewing a cup and just zoning out for a bit. It’s my little peaceful reset in the middle of busy days.

I recently opened a new Osulloc tea set and it’s perfect because the box has so many different flavors and scents. Makes it super easy to pick whatever matches my mood that day.

Here are the ones I’ve been obsessed with lately.

When I need a mood boost → Samda Honey Pear Tea: fresh pear scent with a soft honey note. Instantly feels refreshing.

When the weather’s chilly and I want something cozy → Marron Glace Black Tea: sweet, nutty chestnut aroma that just wraps around you and makes everything feel warmer.

When I’m feeling a bit under the weather or tired → Yuja Earl Grey: the bright yuzu scent helps my whole body relax.

It might seem a little extra to other people, but having these tiny routines actually feels pretty healing for me.

Anyone have a go-to bedtime tea? I want to try more scents so drop your favorites if you have any!

Finally found this nostalgic Korean snack at my local market! I used to eat it all the time as a kid

When I was little, whenever I went to a Korean market or Asian grocery store with my parents, there was this one snack I always begged for from the snack aisle.
The other day I was at my local Korean market and spotted Dakdari Drumpops. Instant nostalgia hit so I grabbed one for the first time in years.
Tried it at home and… as a kid I didn’t realize it, but as an adult this is actually the perfect beer snack lol. I’m already regretting only buying one bag.
Anyone else have a childhood snack that hits different now?

My easy homemade milk tea experiments

I’ve always been absolutely obsessed with milk tea and used to order it every single time I hit up a cafe, but lately I’ve been having a laugh making it at home and honestly, it’s been a game changer.

Got my hands on an Osulloc tea collection and I've been messing around with it. There are so many flavours, it basically feels like a daily taste test at this point lol.

Current top tier is the Peach Black Tea. I cold brew it in the fridge overnight (around 12 hours), then splash in some milk. The peach note hits insanely hard—legit tastes more like a peach cream dessert than your standard milk tea. Absolutely brilliant.

**Pro tip: Chuck in at least 3 tea bags if you want that proper rich milk tea flavour. The aroma is top notch.

The Honey Pear one was decent with milk too, but tbh I actually prefer drinking it hot. The pear flavour is proper comforting, almost like one of those soothing honey pear remedies you drink when you’re feeling a bit under the weather.

I always used to drink my tea straight, but turning them into milk teas has been way more fun than I expected. Still testing the waters with other combos right now.

If you’re into your tea, what’s your go-to milk tea mix? Drop your recipes below, I need some fresh ideas! Cheers.
