Missing Bird

Hi everyone!

Our friends in Deer Ridge lost their pet cockatiel, Rosy.

She's very friendly and will answer to Rosy. Please let me know if you see her.

She is friendly but might be scared. If you see her, please do not try to catch her as it might cause her to fly further. If possible, offer her bird seed or millet while speaking to her in a calm tone. She is very comfortable with people. She will usually respond by saying "hi Rosy" back when called, but again, she might be frightened. She's most vocal at sunrise and sunset.

She is most likely to perch on rooftops, trees, balconies and take shelter on covered areas.

The family, including their young daughter, is absolutely devastated. They will post in FB groups and let the Humane Society know. Thanks in advance for keeping your eyes out for her. 💔

Picking up Badge at Accessibility Table in Toronto?

Hi there,

This will be me first time attending Fanexpo Toronto since I became disabled, so I'm trying to figure out how accessibility at the Toronto convention works. I contacted Fanexpo's customer service, but they keep just referring me to their policies that I already read.

I have an invisible disability - I have chronic pain but I do not use mobility aides. My friend joins me at conventions as my "support person" - she helps hold things, waits in lines, etc. From my understanding, she would get a free pass, but I'd need to request it from their accessibility table on the day of the convention. Does anyone have experience going through this process? Do they ask for any "proof" or ever give anyone a hard time getting that support person pass?

I typically go to Anime North, and every year they change whether they will give her a free support person pass or not. So, I want to make sure all my bases are covered before I go to Fanexpo. I just dont want her to be denied at the door and then she has to go wait in the presumably long line to get her ticket, but I also don't want to buy a ticket for nothing if I don't have to.

On that note, how is it locating the accessibility table/how long is the line typically? I'm only there on the Sunday this year, so I want to make sure I'm making the most of the convention.

Thank you!

Hi everyone,

Does anyone know of any cafes or other organizations that have bulliten boards for the community to post flyers? I know City Cafe on Ottawa St has one, but anywhere else you can think of off the top of your head?

Thank you!!
