title basically. i have this old (1917) dental book that i want to display and be able to see, but i don’t want it to fall apart on me. i played with the idea of getting a comic book sleeve type thing for it, but i’m not sure. advice appreciated!

Hi! As the title suggests, i’m relatively new to WNY and the buffalo area, and i’m looking to meet new people. I’m 25 y/o, and have many interests. I tried going to the AKG museum, but didn’t see many other young people.
What I’m wondering is how can I meet new people without seeming like a weirdo and just walking up on someone? Are there specific places in buffalo you’d recommend me check out?
Any advice would be appreciated!
edit: i’ll mention i’m a trans man, so i’m looking for places that will be relatively safe for me lol (from the midwest where is very not safe)
