What's the little hole on the underside of a Burke whistle head for?
I'm guessing it's to let moisture drip out instead of clogging, but it seems too small for that to work very well. I'm sure he's putting it there on purpose, tho, so what's it for?

I've been largely using learntinwhistle.com largely because thesession.org is slightly more cluttered and confusing, but it seems like the 'top of the list' version of songs between those two sites is basically never the same. I get that there's no official version of most of these tunes, so how do you decide which version to learn? I'm a long way from joining any sort of session, but I don't want to get there a few years from now and everyone looks at me and goes "bro wtf are you doing"
Out of curiosity, which whistles (low or high, any key really) have the least chiff/breathiness, and the purest tone? I'm trying to assemble a whole spectrum :)
I'm working on a 3d-printable low D whistle design, and I want some better tuning software. Anyone out there have anything they like?
In chapter 11, the translation I read discusses how to receive apostles and prophets. I'm curious about "apostle" there. Did the author likely mean this in the sense of the 12, or just 'one who was sent'?
Seems every time a reviewer busts out the tuning software, it's never spot on for every note, which I suppose is fine, but how much variability is acceptable? How off can it be and still be considered in tune?
I noticed one on Ebay the other day and watched some videos. Looks like only one youtuber has played one and I wasn't that impressed. I also watched a few of the maker's videos and it looks to me like he's always running out of breath, and I don't know if it's the whistle or the dude.
But some of them sure are good looking, so I'm still curious. Anyone have any thoughts?
I've been playing the whistle off and on from youtube tutorials for a while now, but it occurs to me that I don't actually actively listen to this stuff. I probably should! So give me some recommendations. Who are the titans of tin whistle or low D whistle music? What albums should I listen to?
I saw a video on how to improve a Generation whistle, and there were really just two things--putting putty into a cavity under the windway, and adding some putty to improve the shape of the labium. I just got a Dx005 and it's great, but I noticed it has the same cavity, and I'm curious if I'd get a smoother sound if I filled it. Thoughts?
I bought a Howard Low D whistle and I love it. I then bought a 3d printer and obvious had to print some more whistles. The 2 low D whistles I've printed both require an oxxxxo fingering for C, not oxxooo like on my Howard. I thought oxxooo was standard, but maybe not, after googling it? Is that common, or just inadequately tuned whistles with free models to print?
I have a shiny new 3d printer and I'd like to make a box organizer for TI:4 and the expansions, but I don't know what one I should pick. Seems like every time I buy an organizer, they didn't think of something or play the game long enough to know how you'd ideally want things put together.
Surely someone here has some advice? Thanks!
Was Jesus condemning all divorce and remarriage, or could he have been condemning a more narrow practice or type of marriage in response to a practice of the day? What is some of the discussion surrounding this topic?
