Making a suitcase kick drum with my Dad :)
Hi guys! I'm a Canadian, UK-based musician that uses a suitcase kick drum onstage (inspired by Shakey Graves). It looks and feels awesome, especially as we play a 'Canadiana' / alt-country / bluegrassy / roots style of original music.
I get soooo many questions about it so when I was building a replica of my drum in Canada with my Dad, I made a little how-to video.
Warning - there is a lot of nonsense because I apparently am not as good at using power tools as I thought I was. My Dad is pro even though he definitely does not use as much protective gear as I think he should.
