Plus sized Cold Steel knives.

Spartan, Rajah, and Espada. I always thought Cold Steel made big knives that were still carry-able in spite of their size. The Spartan is a big, solid fighting knife, the Rajah is no slouch either, but that Espada is a whole other level.

My first line home defense guns.

Glock 19 with Silencer Central cheap can and Syntech Defense ammo. GordyHeatBloodDiamond AR with Griffin can and 55gr JSP. AP5-P with Rugged Obsidian tri-lug and 147gr Ranger T. 870 SBS with 8 pellet Flite Control, that and Winchester Segmented slugs on the sidesaddle. The Glock is a nightstand gun, the AP5-P and AR are in the front row of the safe in my room, the 870 is staged in a hidden compartment near the safe room. I don't have small kids and my house is concrete block on a large lot.

Ithaca 37 SBS 20 gauge, a lucky gunshop find and my first $0 tax gun. We made some "drone" targets and hung them from a string to blow erratically in the wind. All my knowledge of drones comes from r/combatfootage so don't hate my artwork.

Lessons learned: Pattern your gun. It shot high for both of us, but we had different points of aim. He's a big kid and the gun fits different. Also learned that slam-fire is more "look cool" than "practical", but is super fun. And the most important lesson? Take a kid (even a big kid) shooting. They grow up so fast. Cardboard, free. Ammo, cheapest Winchester bulk. Memories with my son, priceless.
