Had a friend I was playing fighting games with a lot. Really fun, we were playing every other day. Chill guy, fun to talk to.

He confessed to me. We haven't talked since.

I'm sad. I get it, I guess, but it still doesn't feel great to lose a friend.

Was testing spiritual roots in the village near our sect when some crazy man ran up to me screaming about being my dao companion and something about regression. He seemed to have no talent, though? Naturally I shooed him away and went about my business.

Any idea what this could be? A new scam in the lower realm?

I don't recognize the inscribing but it appears legitimate?

This junior has been an outer disciple for many years, due to my mixed spirit roots. I've been cultivating for about ten years now and barely reached peak of qi refinement.

A senior brother has been helping me - generously giving me pills, and my cultivation has skyrocketed! He's been diligently checking my condition for months now, which I thought was a great kindness, but I overheard him talking with another senior.

Apparently, he's been feeding me yin essence pills! I don't know how to feel, I'm shocked. My yang energy was never bountiful to begin with!

Venerable seniors, what should I do?? Am I truly fated to remain mortal if I don't continue...?
