Is there a brand name in your country that became the default name of a product?

Is there a brand name in your country that became the default name of a product?

For example, we didnt have a word for taller vehicles (suv) and somehow the word jeep became the definition of that, so when we say jeep, we mean a car taller than a suv, if we talk about the brand, we have to specify 'jeep the brand'. Anything like this where you live?

Whats the weirdest situation you've 'applied' a dm song?

My son just turned 6 months old and while he was able to grab things we gave him till now, he developed curiosity to rummage through the box of toys and grab everything. So any time he goes on his little 'rampage', i sing the chorus for everything counts to him.

Was wondering if you 'apply' dm lyrics in weird sìtuations and wanted to relate to fellow weirdos lol

Anyone elses baby has a god awful ugly laugh?

I love my daughter, she is a difficult baby in all regards and we fought every obstacle there was, but we cant get over the fact how ugly her laugh is, me and my wife die laughing every time she tries to laugh and we feel terrible. Her fraternal twin brother laughs perfectly, like a baby commercial, but every time my poor daughter does her screech, it sounds like an alien imitating human emotions with no prior training. They are 6 months old so its not like its something new, theyve been able to laugh for more than a month now.

Thought id share this to lighten up the mood of fellow parents of screechers lol

5 month old completely refusing to eat

Hi folks. I have 5 month old twins, boy and a girl. They are being bottle fed, breast milk 3 times and formula 2 times. While the boy eats fine, the girl is absolute hell to feed and i dont know what to do anymore. She eats less and less and is starting to outright refuse to eat either milk or formula. We could trick her up untill now with lights or sounds but she caught on and now the lights and sounds are the enemy as well.

We tried 3-4 hour intervals, she still refuses.

We tried to get her hungry and waited for 5 hours, she refuses.

We tried feeding low amounts often, she refuses.

She used to barely eat 120mg, now if we are lucky she gets around 90 but with a whole circus performance distracting her.

My wife and I are seriously worried and dont know what to do. 2 different pediatricians dismissed our worries and told us its a phase, but shes been like this for months, how is a phase lasting this long.

Any advice on what to do would be welcome, thanks.

(Favourite trope) The character talks big game, and actually backs it up

  1. Doc holiday - tombstone. He shit talks, antagonises people and backs it up by being the best there is. For me its the best representation of this trope.

  2. Head Captain yamamoto - Bleach. This is one of the hardest lines i have ever read in a manga or anime and he actually backs it up. Short of hacks designed specifically to avoid fighting him, this man has basically beat god level opponents and was ready to do so again.

  3. Madara uchiha - Naruto. Rarely has a character not only lived to its hype, but blown it away as well. The guy talked a lot of shit about everyone, taunted even the kage (susanoo clones) and the bijuu, but actually delivered on all the treats he made and more. Screw the black zetsu twist, to me Madara is the final boss of Naruto

What little thing does your baby do that you think you will remeber for decades?

Hi folks, dad of 5 month old twins here.

My mom tells a lot of things from when i was a kid, but most of them a very small, adorable gestures i used to do. I was wondering what will be some things that i wil remeber this fondly, and the biggest example I could think of, is when i change my daughter for a night feeding, she lays her little feet on my stomach to warm them up and coos happy. If im wearing a shirt, she kicks me till i lift up the shirt and let her put her feet on my belly.

Please share some cute things you baby does, i would love to read them.

Hi folks. Our twins are 4 months old and I read up on a lot of things, was ready for a lot of weird stuff, but nobody warned me that they would be in a constant battle against their hands.

Baby wants to sleep? The hands keep whacking them in their face.

Baby is hungry and is eating? The hands keep trying to smack the bottle away

Baby is laying calm and enjoying their pacifier? Haha, the evil hands return to yoink the pacifier out of the mouth and toss it on the ground.

Basically 70% of our struggles are caused by their hands. The boy has also learned to scratch the sides of the bassinet so we gotta make sure his nails are trimmed every day.

Is this a phase or are they always gonna be like this, hands controlled by and evil entity foiling the plans of our kids?
