Got a speeding ticket in Saskatchewan — looking for advice
I received a speeding ticket on a Saskatchewan highway and I’m trying to understand my options.
The ticket says I was travelling 122 km/h in a 110 km/h zone. The situation is that the police vehicle was travelling in the opposite direction on the highway when the officer apparently measured my speed. I was surprised because I believed I was travelling around 110 km/h.
I’m trying to understand how this type of speed measurement works when the police vehicle is approaching from the opposite direction. Does anyone have experience with this?
For people who have fought similar tickets in Saskatchewan:
How does the radar/lidar evidence work in this situation?
Is it worth requesting disclosure and reviewing the officer’s notes/calibration records?
What are the chances of getting the charge reduced or dismissed?
Not looking for judgment — just trying to understand the process and what steps I should take.
