2013 Fortwo won't crank - all lights are lit on dash

Hey all -
I've got my daughter's car on my back patio for a couple years now and have tinkered with it on and off during that time.
It is finally time to either get it going or donate it somewhere.

The issue is:

  • New battery so voltage is there
  • No codes thrown on my Autel diagnostic box - shows key is fine, even, when attempting to start
  • All dash lights come on when key is turned
  • No start - no cranking at all
  • I hear fuel pump start
  • I hear transmission switch click when trying to pull it out of part
  • P is shown on dash when trying to start
  • All door locks work with key fob
  • All fuses checked out including the main 200amp link off battery
  • I think that's it?

So I believe it could be one of two things - either the SAM unit is bad on some relay or the main wire going to the starter solenoid is corroded or broken. Does that seem about right?
Issue with the solenoid wire is getting to it to check - I think it is on the passenger side but I can't seem to find it when up on a jack stand looking up and, I have to admit, I am a bit paranoid about being under there!

Any thoughts on something I might be missing?

TIA!

2013 Convertible with issues....what to do...

Hey all -
I have a 2013 Convertible with 78,000 miles on it. Recently replaced the clutch which was about $3k but now I have VANOS/Timing chain issues along with coil replacement and some other things - total is going to be around $4k.
Body wise it is in great shape as is the soft top.
Given the age of the car and how many other things can still go wrong, is it the better part of complete sense to move on? Sunk cost fallacy and all is getting in the way of my thought process. And so is how much fun this thing is to drive especially with it being summer!
Thanks for any thoughts.
