Kazuhas design has aged in a way i dont see with most Genshin characters

Put a small Kazuha figure on my desk today and caught myself looking at it more than i should have. Nothing dramatic. Just kept drifting back to it while trying to work.

Nothing about him is loud. The maple leaves, the muted colors, that wandering samurai thing he has going on. Its all pulled back in a way most newer designs are not.

Meanwhile newer Genshin releases keep going bigger. More accessories, brighter colors, wilder silhouettes. And i love them, i pull for them, they look sick. But sitting next to Kazuha they feel like they are trying way harder. Different intent behind the design entirely.

Been playing since Inazuma dropped which is when Kazuha became one of my mains. His story quest is one of the few in the game that still sits with me years later, that whole thing about his friend and the haikus. Its rare that a character gets a design and a story that fit together this well. Some characters are cool visually but their arc is forgettable. Kazuha is one of the few where the design carries the same weight as the writing.

I think that is why the figure keeps pulling my eye. Its not just a nice sculpt. Its a character that actually means something to me from a specific chapter of the game i still remember clearly.

Probably a character like that for you too. Someone whose design just stayed with you because the writing gave it something to carry.

Edit: Bunch of people asked where the figure is from. Its this shop called animonlife i think, walked in there one day for something else and just saw him sitting on a shelf. Wasnt planning to grab anything but you know hobw it is. He's been on my desk ever since and kinda forgot he even came from a random walk-in.

[META] Subreddit New Moderator

Hi everyone, new moderator here! I have recently been granted the moderator role of this subreddit. I have specifically requested it due to the obvious current state of the subreddit - bots, spam, lost redditors, etc.

I still have 5 years worth of reported posts in the mod queue to cleanup, but if you see any spam posts or lost redditors, please report them and I’ll remove them the soonest.

I have been doing updates in this subreddit, and for transparency, I’ll be noting them here:

  • Rules. There were no formal rules established in this sub, so it’s high-time we list a few. Nothing really drastic though; just common ones.
  • New post flairs.

Still to-do:

  • Create AutoModerator configurations. Reddit is acting up right now, but as soon as it's all resolved, I'll set it up. This hopefully means less bots, spam, and lost redditor posts to report as AutoModerator should take care of that.

**EDIT 1:** AutoModerator has now been setup! This will make things a lot easier for me and the community as well. But for other things that the AutoModerator fail to catch, they will need to be manually removed; reports are also helpful to get them actioned on faster.

**EDIT 2:** Confirmed that the AutoModerator is working! Caught one attempting to crosspost from the Bennett University subreddit again, lol. It is immediately removed by AutoModerator as intended.

I look forward to moderating this subreddit!

Questions and Discussion Megathread

Greetings WriothesleyMains!

Wriothesley’s buffs have been officially announced. As we are anticipating multiple people asking the same questions, we are creating this new, central question and discussion megathread.

We invite the community to share objective information they know about and/or voice their opinions on the following questions to help the rest of the community in their next steps:

  1. Should I farm a new set? What set should I farm for Wriothesley?
  2. Should I pull his C1 or more constellations for Stellar-Conduct?
  3. Should I pull his weapon for Stellar-Conduct? What other weapon options do I have?
  4. Should I pull for Yae Miko?
  5. Should I pull for Sandrone?
  6. What is the pull priority?
  7. What will be his Stellar-Conduct team? If I don’t have certain characters, what are other alternatives?
  8. Is his Stellar-Conduct team stronger than his Freeze or Melt teams or any of his other teams?

As the details of his buffs are not yet officially announced, this megathread will be marked as Spoiler for now.

Stellar-Conduct Quick Reference:

  • Artifacts: 4pc Disenchantment in Deep Shadow > 4pc MH (approx. 5% difference)
  • Artifact stats: ATK / ATK / CR or CD
  • Teammates: Stellar-Conduct enabler (currently Sandrone only), Yae, Nicole, Beidou

Old guides that should still be generally relevant in building Wriothesley:
