Brand new window installed a few weeks ago and the handle popped off this evening. Can this be fixed or is it a new handle installation needed?
I can’t figure out how the handle gets fixed into place.
We are getting work done in the house and quoted for a number of sockets. Months later and the electrician arrived to scope out the new room, and get the electric feed through the house to the it. Before he began he asked what I wanted where. I always relayed the request to what was on the quote, but I asked would it be much difference to update to usb c sockets in place of the standard ones. He said it would just be a few quid difference on the cost of the standard but it was no bother at all.
At the same time I wanted a certain light switch matching the rest of the house and he told me where to go to get this one and leave it for him to fit instead of a basic one he would end up fitting. So on one hand he told me to source a part myself, the other was fine for him to get and fit on my behalf.
A week passes and the office get in touch and said we asked for additional usb sockets and this would cost €120 +vat for each one. This would be over €500 just for what was a simple switch in the ask. These weren’t additional, they were just going in where he would install the basic ones.
I never expected them upgraded for free but I feel we’re being punished for agreeing something with electrician and not going through the office.
What is the honest difference from electrician’s perspective when you have a room wired and you’re going to make this change?
Our bedroom has a custom made wardrobe and drawer unit and one of the rails from the drawer has started clicking and getting stuck when being used.
Has anyone any idea how you’d go about finding the right replacements for one of these when there isn’t any logos on it?
