Who else combines Hobonichi accessories with Midori products?

I adore the designs that Hobonichi has offered throughout the years but the actual planners don't fit my needs so this setup is the best of both worlds for me! I easily cut down an A6 pencil board with scissors to fit my passport size Traveler's Notebook and I made the remaining into a second bookmark. (I use my TN for scheduling and various habit tracking/logging.) I also fell in love with an A5 board I wanted to use in my A6 MD grid so I cut it down and got another bookmark out of that one too! I use the A6 as a therapy journal and am obsessed with Hobonichi cases (currently using the Mina Perhonen "symphony" cover). Would love to hear how others combine the two brands!

Wildfish Cannery - Rockfish with garlic and sumac in olive oil

BRAND: Wildfish Cannery

PRODUCT: Rockfish with garlic and sumac in olive oil

NET WT: 110g

COUNTRY OF ORIGIN: USA

PURCHASED AT: Garrison City Provisions (Dover, NH)

PURCHASE PRICE: $14

TASTING DATE: 5/23/2026

WOULD BUY AGAIN?: YES

PERSONAL NOTES: The fish had a firm crabmeat-like texture that was incredibly pleasant! Although I could visibly see the seasoning when I opened the can, I detected little to no presence of the advertised garlic and sumac flavors on my palate. I would understand if someone were to be disappointed that the flavor profile was weak, but I actually quite appreciated that I was able to taste the subtle flavor of the rock fish and that there were no overpowering flavors. The olive oil was also not a strong flavor itself and carried the light flavor of the fish (highly suggest using the leftover oil for dipping!). I very much enjoyed the subtle taste of the fish and the texture particularly.

PAIRED WITH: Toasted sourdough and local mixed greens from Meadow's Mirth Farm, alongside a canned non-alcoholic sparkling Sangrita by Five Corners Beverage Co.

BRAND: La Narval

PRODUCT: Razor clams in brine

NET WT: 110g

COUNTRY OF ORIGIN: SPAIN

PURCHASED AT: Garrison City Provisions (Dover, NH)

PURCHASE PRICE: $17.99

DATE: 4/29/2026

WOULD BUY AGAIN?: No

PERSONAL NOTES: Subtle clam taste was very delicious. I enjoyed the texture of the neck and flavor of the clams. There were 6 large clams in the tin. The bellies were filled with a sandy grit that was unpleasant, overwhelming the positive aspects.

PAIRED WITH: Meadow's Mirth Farm fiddleheads and ramps sautéed with butter and lemon, alongside a canned salted lemonade by Five Corners Beverage
