App Lagging/Crashing

I keep trying to change my profile picture and background, but the app is continuously not letting me. It lets me pick the images and even shows them as my pfp, but when I click the save/check mark button it just shows the loading icon for a bit before crashing the app. Does anyone know why or what could be done about this? My phone is pretty new and has a lot of storage still open, so I don’t understand why this keeps happening. I also don’t think it’s an internet issue as my internets working fine otherwise.

What Happened?

It seems I’m pretty late to the shutdown of the app, but is it really gone gone? Like for good? I originally got the app as a 10 or 11 year old, so around 2015/2016 and since then had many, many times taken breaks ranging from like a month to years. Last time I used the app was honestly most likely 3-4 years ago, maybe even longer.

But I am now bored at home for the summer, and so I looked it up to see if it could help cure the boredom, and the apps just completely gone from the App Store! I can’t even find it in my downloaded apps anymore. The website also doesn’t work. So my question is, what happened to it? Why the shutdown? And will it ever come back?

EDIT: Also are there any amino alternatives? Like to rp with someone as an OC created on the app? Sorry for all the questions thanks yall 🤗

How can Agnes/Hannah read her name?

I was just wondering since girls in Gilead are not taught to read and write, how was Agnes able to read her name on her drawing during the finale? I’m sure she was beginning to learn to read and write before she was taken from June, and that process usually starts with learning to write your name, but it’s been so long since she’s read or wrote anything. I’m sure synaptic pruning would’ve occurred and she’d lose whatever ability she had to read and write as that skill was never practiced again in the slightest.

So what do you guys think is the reason she’s able to read her name Hannah? How does she know it says Hannah? Maybe she just knows but can’t actually read it? Let me know your thoughts!

EDIT: Most responses have been just justifying it as knowing how to read before Gilead took over but I already understand that part. I’m more asking like how did she keep that ability after all those years of no reading or writing.

Thank you all 🩷

For the past 2 years I’ve (20F) had a loop colostomy, and whenever I needed advice or help related to it that I didn’t want to bother my doctor with I’d always come here to ask, and so many of you have helped me out before which I appreciate greatly.

I have great news! I had my colostomy reversed yesterday morning! I had it because of a complication with a prior surgery, and needed to be diverted in order to heal properly. And now, two years later, that chapter has come to a close in my life. I’m of course in some pain right now, but it is overshadowed by the gratitude I feel for this community. You’ve increased my confidence when I had the bag as well as giving useful advice when I needed it, and that’s priceless to me, especially because I don’t know a single person in life who always had a bag.

Thank you all so much for all the help, I hope you all have great summers!!!

About a year and a half/2 years ago I (now 20F) had to get an emergency loop colostomy due to a complication with another surgery. Finally, I now have my reversal in 2 weeks. I’m super excited for it and so excited to be able to wear low rise and microshorts and the other clothes I want that I couldn’t with the bag, but because it’s so close to summer I’m just wondering what recovery is like after reversal, and what the timeline is like? I don’t know anything about it really. If anyone has any input from knowledge or experience I’d appreciate it tons!!
