Can i start this 1080 Ti w/o one of the vrm phases to test the core? The removed drmos was shorted between VSWH and VIN, gpu originally had a short on the 8 pin 12v rail.

I got it from ewaste and its cable was cut off so i made it usable.

I have got this camera and a Sony MiniDV tape. However it does not ever play it. The timecode stays blank and i never get anything other than the blue screen. The same happens when playing a section of the tape on which i have recorded something just before. I only once managed to get it to display a grey screen with timecode stuck on single value, but i can't even replicate it.

The tape mechanism itself looks clean and the tape goes forward and backwards just fine.

Cleaning the spinning head (which wasn't dirty as it did not leave any residue unlike some VHS heads i've cleaned) with printer paper soaked in ethanol did not change the symptoms.
