The movie was very good and Damon was good but it just would’ve been better with Affleck in his place. The haughty charm along with the constant cocky pride that Odysseus is known for just felt off with Damon and just made him seem like a huge prick towards his men. Whereas that’s the type of personality Affleck does best, the douche you can’t help but love and root for. And the world-wearyness that weighs on Odysseus with his PTSD, is just the default look for Affleck ever since J-LO entered his life however with Damon it just doesn’t feel as deep in his remorse, no matter how scraggly his beard looked.

As far as I’m aware the only animated movie they’ve done is Toy Story and Bill wasn’t even on that one. So likely has to be one that:
A) Was a big hit when his kids were young.
B) Is funny or crazy enough to hook Bill in
C) Probably not a Disney animated movie (if they have haven’t done a Pixar movie since Toy Story I feel like it’s not going to happen.)
D) it’s probably from the mid 2010s based on his kids ages.

Something like a Paddington or Paddington 2, I could see Bill getting into Hugh Grants Re-apexing or really caring about Nicole Kidman as a villian because she’s hot lol.

Could there be a sleeper Disney live action remake pick?

The BFG I could see especially with it being directed by friend of the pod Steven Spielberg.

Lord and Miller might be run on favorites with the Lego Movie and Spiderverse being in the perfect time frame. Especially with the Lego movie having all the big name actors it does.

Megamind is a little early but it’s funny enough and has the true A-list: Will Ferrell, Brad Pitt, Tina Fey, Ben Stiller, all some of Bills favorites.

Not that Randy Johnson and not that USC but I thought the coincidence was interesting. Through a Google Search AI hallucination I learned that Randy Johnson (the legendary pitcher) did however play college basketball at USC, (University of Southern California) which makes sense being 6’10 and all. However there was a 6’4 Randy Johnson that played college basketball at USC (University of Southern Colorado) that was drafted in the 7th round by the Clippers (TIAL the NBA draft used to have 10 rounds). What other odd Jon Bois-esque sports coincidences do you know of?

I can’t explain it but every time I see her that’s the first thing that comes to mind. Looks, vibes, skills, what she says, it’s the only thing that makes sense. Watching her at streamer games again just reaffirmed it.

It’s been really satisfying, pushes me to read more and much easier to make the gifts feel personal and thoughtful. And I’m not talking just random New York Times best sellers, or books specifically picked to flex your literary “prowess”. They’re tailored selections specifically for that friend or family member, to hopefully spur their reading interests. I’ll think about the person and if nothing comes to mind, I’ll read a couple books from the niche I think they would be the most interested in so it also expands my horizons and gets me to read books I would not normally bother to try. Most people I know don’t read much and if they do it’s entirely either Brandon Sanderson or smut. Even knowing theres a 5 percent chance they actually read it I think that’s worth it over getting some random tchotchke from Etsy that will get forgotten very quickly. My friends know it’s coming by now and there’s about a 30% hit rate so far of the people actually reading it. They’re always curious as to why I picked the specific book so it’s a fun little test on how well I know them. Obviously this doesn’t include Significant others or children

I’ve been doing air-fried chicken-potatoes pretty much every day for the past 3 months but it gets stale fast.
And it’s suppose to be healthy but it seems like the only way I can make it not Sahara-Levels dry is with like a cup of olive oil.

Excluding actual pornstars and OF models because Van just does it for the love of the game. There’s Kanye but what about ‘non-cancelled’ celebrities that can show up in mainstream media without a twitter outcry?
