Those who’ve driven both the RCF and GSF:

How do they compare handling wise?
What makes me ask this question is Jeremy Clarkson’s review of both cars. He famously hated how the RCF drove but interestingly he quite liked how the GSF handled, said it felt like a sports car despite being a big 5 seater. He even said it’s a better driving machine than its German counterparts.

I know the RCF is a Frankenstein platform of the GS and IS convertible so I’m not sure if just that is to blame and if it really is inferior to the GSF driving wise.

What do you guys think?

What could be causing this whine? GS430

Just noticed my gs430 now whines when rpms raise, either when accelerating or in park. Alternator was changed months ago with OEM so that should be fine. Car has 146k miles.

GS430, what could be causing the idle to drop?

First noticed at a red light the rpms kept spiking up and coming back down, drove home and left the car parked for an hour. Started it again and the idle kept dropping as seen in the video, also tried putting it in reverse and it felt quite rough. Put it in back in park and eventually the idle became stable and putting it in reverse didn’t feel rough anymore. This was 2 days ago, and ever since the issue has not repeated itself.

Additional details: car has 145k miles, I’ve had it for 6k. Battery changed recently and alternator changed months ago with OEM. Also I don’t have a record that the spark plugs have been replaced so thinking it could be that however most people I’ve talked to point towards a dirty throttle body.

What suspension part(s) may be causing this?

Have an 05 GS 430 with 144k miles. Recently replaced front and rear lower control arms. Lower ball joints had also been replaced at 114k, not sure if OEM was used but it was done at a reputable shop by a previous owner.

When driving over slight bumps in the road at lower speeds, it pulls the steering wheel to the side. At higher speeds the car feels quite floaty to the point of pulling to the left or right side a bit. Also when braking kinda hard from higher speeds, the car pulls to either the left or right side. I know from factory these cars drive like boats but wondering if this too is also to be expected.

Martyrs(InshaAllah) from the recent Mosque shooting in San Diego

The beloved convert security guard, Amin Abdullah, and 2 Syrian men. On top the longtime Mosque shopkeeper Abu’l Izz who also prepared lunches and Iftar at the Mosque, and Nader Awad whose wife worked as a teacher at the Mosque, he ran to the mosque after hearing shots.
