Your ship is standing too far apart for scandalous photos? No problem, just push them together (not a bug)

Yes, really, this is not a bug, video is my in-game footage taken using Momo camera. You can just use Nikki to "push" them to each other. This works for other NPCs too.

The 2nd tutorial is simpler and works for me, but I wanted to credit the first creator for making me realise that it was even possible to move NPCs with her Giovanni tutorial.

The tutorials are in Chinese but because there's already a mini drama on rednote over who "pioneered" the video tutorial, I won't be making any. But these are the basic steps:

  1. Turn on Photo mode
  2. Stand Nikki next to the NPC you want to move
  3. Toggle NPC off. Use move feature to have Nikki take one step into the spot where the NPC previously stood.
  4. Toggle NPC on (basically just to verify that Nikki didn't go right through him. If she did, that means it did not work. Nikki should not clip through the NPCs as the whole point is for her to bump them off the spot. Someone who understands physics mechanics in games will be able to explain this better than me. If she keeps clipping through, refer to the first tip).
  5. Toggle NPC off. Toggle Nikki off. Toggle NPC on. If it worked, you will see that the NPC has visibly moved. Then toggle Nikki back on.
  6. Rinse and repeat steps 3 - 5.

Tips:

- If the NPC doesn't move after a couple of tries, log out of the game, log in again and try again. Don't ask me why, the tutorial creator explained it but I didn't really get it. The only key takeaway I got was: It's random.

Honestly once it actually works (I only needed to "reset" once), it doesn't take long to position them. Took me about 10 minutes to push Angert to Meghill. Of course, if you're very particular about how you want to position the NPC, it will take a lot more effort. Some people on rednote managed to get "kissing" pics but I'm just content with them standing together.

- Once you get your NPC in the right position, you can move Nikki near them and use her lighting feature to illuminate them. Even after you hide her, the lighting remains.

- Do not exit Photo mode until you're done taking your photos, the NPC that was moved will slide back into position and you'll have to do it all over again. If you have any background props that you want to use, be sure to place them first. Also, make sure you have already used Pear Pal to toggle to the desired time of the day because you can't do that inside photo mode.

- It is possible for the NPC to go off course (first time I tried I ended up steering Angert even further away), so be patient, take it slow and make sure your Nikki is pushing them in the right direction.

- The mental visual of Meghill and Angert being all wtf at Nikki bumping them from their spot is probably very distracting. Try not to think about it, they're just a bunch of pixels at the end of the day.

There you go, have fun! But maybe don't post to your shimmer album in case they get reported. I honestly do not know if this is "illegal" and whether Infold would "fix" this. But I do know according to the rednote creators that this has been feasible since last year.

I typed this up in a rush, feel free to ask if you need further clarifications.

He is clearly Infold's favourite child [2.8 Golden Feast endgame spoiler]

Just sipping tea and watching my ship be awkward around each other

3 outfit changes, a heroic sub plot, a beautifully rendered death scene (that turned out to be completely unnecessary), brought back to life unscathed, now permanently on the map.

Blue Eyes hates Angert, but he is clearly Infold's favourite boy 🥺

I'm delighted as an Angert stan but I think his subplot was too hastily wrapped up. I do hope there can be a deeper dive into it in 2.9. While I'm not surprised that he came back, there were just so many seemingly significant details about him that just went poof! I also wished there had been more about the Nine. I really wanted to see what his mum looked like, being the charismatic woman she is described as (Lore books say he inherited his blue eyes from his dad, was his mum a dark skinned beauty perhaps?), and to explore his relationship with Turtledove and Snakes, who seemed to genuinely care about him.

By the way, you can find him in Meghill's office after finishing the main quest. There's some new dialogues that shed a little more insight.

Momo and his sexy backup dancers

Infold knows we really like Momo Long Legs! Be sure to get your videos / pictures because they don't stick around once you get rid of those hallucinogenic spore things!

Nikki and Angert share the same approach to "blending in"

True story: My Nikki was running around Heaven's Reach in Wishful Aurosa, stilettos and fancy headgear. After meeting up with Angert, I considered changing her outfit to something more discreet to match the secretive atmosphere of the location and mission...

And then I looked over at Angert standing there in his asymmetrical arm guard and gloves, thigh-high boots / hybrid bootpants or whatever those things are, with flashy gold and silver trim and other fancy embellishments and I just thought "nah, we're good." 😂

I made a Lolita Fashion show using Infinity Nikki's latest Lolita set

I made a Lolita fashion show using in-game footage from Infinity Nikki and figured this might interest those who also play the game or like seeing pop culture references to the fashion!

I know the last outfit being Lolita is highly debatable, but since fashion shows tend to like including experimental pieces, I figured it would work as a special finale set!

I also wanted to share a very Lolita moment: When selecting some of the accessories in the dressing room, I angsted over how the shades of the colours weren't an exact match, but I couldn't bring myself to spend more in-game currency on the dyes. Looking at the overall coord in-game however, I think they look fine! I'm sure some of us here can relate! Worrying over the colour shades matching on your shoes and accessories, but when you look at the coord as a whole, nothing looks out of place!

The dye schemes came from other gamers. I've detailed the sources in this post. Happy to share my outfit codes too if anyone wants to know!

Nikki hates swimming class... unless she can just stay in the shallow water

I had so much fun putting this little video together with the new swimwear! Inspired by other Nikkis on Rednote, I've dyed it to look like a classic Sukumizu, a traditional navy blue, one-piece swimsuit worn by students in Japan during swimming classes.

Nikki dreading swimming class and being late for it is honestly such a mood. Since she can only "stay in the shallow water" (shoutout to Momo always reminding us 😂), I figured this is exactly how she would spend a free period at the pool, just chatting, showing off her nails, and taking photos!

I can totally relate, because I dreaded swim class and I can't swim either 💀

Players who started from Itzaland will be so amused by combat in Wishfield

I’m a returning player who spent the past months in Itzaland before finally getting round to doing the Queen’s Palace of Ruins exclusive quest today. I’m so amused by how Momo is taking out the esselings before I can even react 🤣

Just a sudden thought when I see the undoubtedly wise advice of how newbies should play Itzaland first.

Fun fact: When I first started playing, I was so bad at combat I clung to Timeless Melody like a lifeline for the mass purification ability. I hardly touch it anymore now because thanks to Itzaland training, basic archery works much better for me.

Me when people dote on my cat & casual snaps with the Parksolians

Came back from long hiatus and rushed through the main quests so my photography skills are iffy oops. But the latest patch was one where I really paid attention to the story and NPCs because it was so good, so I wanted to take more pics especially with Angert since I knew from the sub that he wasn't sticking around.

My father's plan is a Singtel Bundle with home broadband, mobile and landline. It's ancient and it's very expensive. (like $70++ per month). The plan is to switch to a new home broadband + landline like myrepublic, and get him a senior's mobile plan on simba.

But I'm also concerned about the logistics and extra charges involved, because the mobile line is part of the whole singtel package.

I understand and am prepared for disruptions with the home broadband and landline. But my father's mobile line is important as he needs to be reachable by various service providers regarding his care appointments.

We also want to retain the old landline number if possible, but we can also do with cancelling outright and getting a new one if retaining the old one will make things much costlier or more complicated.

I assume this is how we go about it:

1st step: Port over his mobile number to the new telco.

However I've seen a complaint online that mobile number could not be ported over due to being bundled so I wonder if there are additional steps to unbundle first?

2nd step: Purchase new broadband + port over landline. Continue paying for the singtel broadband + landline (i read that need to pay at least one additional month beyond cancellation date?) until the new router is installed.

3rd step: Cancel singtel bundle

If anyone here has unbundled / changed their telco bundle plan, I'd deeply appreciate if you could share your experience and any possible complications or charges that I should look out for. Thanks!

Updated to include this rundown from Singtel's AI chatbot. Not sure how accurate it is. It mentions nothing about unbundling when porting out the mobile number first:

• 3–5 days before: Confirm no outstanding bills and note any early termination charges. Keep all services active.

• On the day: Submit the mobile port-out with your new provider (same NRIC). Leave the Singtel line active until completion.

• 1–3 days after mobile port completes: Ask your new provider to port the home phone. Keep it active until completion.

• After the home phone port completes: Contact us to cancel broadband. Expect prorated charges and possible reversal of bundle discounts/ETC if in contract.

• Bill close-out: Your final bill will include any prorations and fees. Keep an eye out for it in the next cycle.
