Support group or community?

I've searched in a few subreddits looking and haven't found anything recent. I'm looking for some sort of community as we start our family journey. We are about to choose a donor and it has been giving me massive anxiety about choosing the right one or finding one that looks like me, etc. Would love to speak to others who have gone through this or currently are. Bonus points if it has a focus on non biological parents.

The only thing I found so far is "PregnantTogether" but am hesitant since there's a paywall. Has anyone used it and is the community active? Any other recommendations?

Elderly grandparent with senior cat who needs to take pill

My grandmother's cat needs to take thyroid medication and she is unable to hold her down to give it to her and she won't eat it crushed up or in a pill pocket. She has trouble with her hands and leaning down and I live 45 minutes away so going there every day is not an option.

Does anyone have any tips for an elderly person who can't go through the regular pill giving routes? I'm going to try other fussy food options but her cat is super picky. And an appetite stimulant won't help because my nana will also have trouble giving that to her.

I've done a lot of searching but having trouble narrowing down posts to senior owners, not just senior cats. They are both all that each other has and I don't want to separate them because of medication when she takes great care of her in every other way.
