I’m a BL artist, but im stuck. Should I make a webtoon or a manga?
I can't choose between making a BL manga or a webtoon. People say that webtoons have more reach because of the coloring and I get that but I can't help but love the black and white look more.
Plus, it will be released in english. I have NEVER seen an english release manga get popular or do well. Its always webtoons or comics.
Also yes even though its a released in english it will be a manga because of the reading format, paneling etc
Also I am broke as fuck. So I also need the money to keep on doing what I like. What could potentially get me more money? Weekly webtoon updates online or maybe my manga being printed after it gets popular?
I don't mean to brag but my artstyle is very good and I know it. My bf said that people would read it anyways because of the good plottart.
I also heard people say just go for a black and white webtoon but again, it doesnt really stand out from the rest of the stories if its in black and white. The colorful webtoon demand is real.
But again im thinking "why am I thinking so much about if its going to sell well or not? Its suppposed to be fun."
And the reality hits that I don't have rich parents that can support me all my life. I do need it to be popular.
What do you guys think? Should I pursue manga or webtoon?
