just breathe.

this is baseball. shit happens. it’s like playing a shoe of blackjack. you win. you lose. you win. you lose. you win 5 in a row, you lose 5 in a row.

in any other year, we’d be pretty happy with being .500 in mid May. we’d be ecstatic that the offense, the worst last year in MLB, has been one of the best.

shit happens. round ball, round bat.

we hit a tough patch and you guys want to lambast Cherington? you want to shit on Kelly? gimme a fuckin break. you sound like children. toughen up.

ride or die.

this too shall pass. a new win streak starts today.

LET’S GO BUCS!

hell of a performance from Phil Hellmuth this weekend on NGNF

just a few days after someone posted his results from televised cash games being down 1M~ lifetime, Phil Hellmuth really showed the haters this past weekend.

on Saturday’s stream, Hellmuth won a flip to start the show and proceeded to fold and do nothing but talk about his personal investments for the rest of the show. it was a masterclass in weak, passive, bitch poker. he laid down playable hand after playable hand.

he was fortunate enough to double up on the last hand of the night when he got AK in vs. Lindgren’s AQ. I guarantee Lindgren was kicking himself for paying off the Poker Nit in the hand.

on Sunday, Hellmuth was offered a sweetheart deal at the beginning of the day. he was given 12:1 odds that he wouldn’t be the biggest winner on the day. with only six players at the table, this both spoke to what his peers think of him and presented a great opportunity to run up a stack. any real professional would’ve bought in for a big stack and fought for pots.

what did he do? nothing. after his 25k buyin dwindled to around 10k, he didn’t add on for hours. this from a man who has supposedly won “30 million” dollars playing poker. lolz

after he busted his stack, Hellmuth decided it was time to take a stand. he re-loaded to 25k and made his only real move in two days.

his big move was to open to $10,000 at $100/$200 blinds with J6o. Moneymaker flatted with Jacks, and Philly boy quickly check folded the flop. next level stuff.

he claims to win millions in his home game. I can claim to have sex with a different supermodel every night, since nobody is checking receipts. I’m sure that even that tool chest Chamath knows that Hellmuth is only playing the mortal nuts when his money goes in.

he’s very fortunate to come along when he did, because he would never be able to make it coming up in today’s game.

is he a good tournament player? I guess. I’ve often seen him run up stacks when recreational players gift him chips just to say they played a pot with him.

is he a good cash game player? he is the worst “professional” player in the world at cash.

keep getting those checks from appearance fees and endorsements Phil, because it’s the only reason you’re not busto.

This game is the perfect example of why ABS needs to be universal.

we are getting absolutely cornhole’d because we lost both challenges early.

Horwitz has gotten f’d twice on balls that weren’t even close. and now the HP ump is getting adverserial against us.

just go ABS full time. if there’s one thing we’ve learned is that humans can’t call balls and strikes. and then they get emotional and turn it into a pissing match.

JJ Redick does not get enough credit for being a great Head Coach.

we know Redick from his days as a star at Duke, as an elite shooter for a long time in the association, and from his podcasting and commentating days.

I hated him at Duke, gained respect for him in the NBA, and became a fan during his podcast days.

what he has done as head coach of the Lakers is nothing short of remarkable. he's coaching a team with an aging LeBron, and with injuries to his other two best players in Luka Doncic and Austin Reaves.

he led the Lakers to 53 wins in the regular season despite only having a +1.7 difference in points per game. every other team that won that many had at least a +4 differential. earning the 4 seed in the tough Western conference is so small feat.

apparently I have to post a link to prove I am not AI - espn.com/nba/standings

he led his team to a first-round playoff victory despite not having his best player in Doncic, and missing Reaves for the first few games. the Lakers were substantial underdogs in the series, and were dogs in every game against Houston.

the Lakers are drawing dead against OKC, but he has his team playing hard and competitive ball despite getting a rough whistle from the refs.

a tip of the cap to Redick and his staff. give the man his flowers.

edit : to everyone saying he should be discredited for having LeBron on his team, this is a 41-year-old LeBron who played 60 games. he also gets the extra bonus of dealing with the Bronny attention.

Luka is hurt, Reaves was hurt in round one. take those two away and this is a tank-level roster.
