Tips for starting a free jazz/improvasation band/ensemble

So I'm a university student moving to London for music studies. For the past months ve been very interested in free jazz and generally improvasation, and I really want to try to play with other people, and especially want to play some ideas I have in my mind.

What are your experiences in this field and what I should be aware of?

Music note interval ratio usage

Music note interval ratio usage

Hello, recently I was researching about fractal music and discovered about the ratios of intervals.

Basically iive been wondering how I can use this piece of information any other way than calculating the frequency of notes depending the interval I want.

Something that I also found out through this research that in intervals there is a really fast polyrhythm, but that's something I can't really use.

Except If I slow down the frequencies so much that i convert a melody into a polyrhythm. I don't know if that makes sense;)

Any ideas on how to use this ratios?

Thoughts on Peter Brötzman

For quite some time I've been into free jazz and improvasation, and I have done my research on many artists but I think for the time being Brötzman is the most fascinating to listen. His style is really agree but at the same time it can be really sweet and calming. Also he had collaborated with so many artists of different genres, from stoner rock to harsh noise.

What are your opinion on him?

Hello, I'm 18 years old and I'm thinking about volunteering in a dog shelter in my town this summer.

I'm just a little nervous about it as the only experience I have is with my grandma's dog. Despite that I am really motivated to help a day or two each week. From what I have understood the jobs I will be doing is helping with feeding, cleaning and walking the dogs with other volunteers.

Is there any tip or something I should consider?

Thanks for your time

Hello I'm trying to get into classical music and I choose debussy to be the first composer I'll do my research on. I choose him as I'm really into experimental music, and I heard that he had some works that aren't conventional.

Thansk in advance
