BLT vs Poly
I'm new to DVC and still lurking and researching! For now I'm a solo traveler who likes to go about 1-2x/year and stay for 5-7 days. I don't need to go during peak times and likely would travel between Oct-Apr and I have decent flexibility if I plan ahead. I've mostly always stayed at pop century and made the mistake of staying at the swan hotel and now have the taste for the good life!!
At first I was looking at a small resale 50 pt contract at Saratoga Springs in hopes of using it as "sleep around" points and I don't have large desire to actually stay there since I enjoy spending most of my time at the parks! But now I'm starting to toy with the idea of resale BLT or even poly for 80-100 points. So if I can't get the resort I'm waitlisted for or at the 7 month booking period, I wouldn't be disappointed if I stayed at BLT or Poly. From most of my research most people say BLT you get more bang for your buck and the location close to MK. However I find that my favorite park is Epcot and would like to get there with the most ease! I know boardwalk, beach club, or yacht club would be the better choices but I don't want the expiration date.
I'm leaning more towards BLT since it is slightly cheaper for resale price and points redemptions for stays, but I could also be persuaded go for it and get a poly contract! I think I like the rooms at poly a little better and the idea of walking to TTCC to get to Epcot more easily. But with my flexibility I may have a good shot of just using the 7 month window or waitlisting at poly.
