Still beams and helical piles

In Alberta Canada going to do a 40' x 30' wide garage/farm machine shed materials package. I'd like to use helical piles for the foundation but I can't find information correlatinh the spacing of the piles with the size or type of still beam. For example, I would assume 4' spacing would require a much smaller beam than 8' spacing. But what size of beam and LVL versus built up 2x8 or 2x12, and so on?

After being let go from the employer with a severance package last year the total was about 100k but the T4 shows 64k as a retiring allowance. After loading the T4 into turbo tax and letting it do its thing I'm showing 160k as total income. Is there a chance the employer counted the severance package as both income and retiring allowance?
